Hotel location is very good. Right beside the SBB station. We got a side by side 2 bedroom room. Rooms are very small. Even though tea/coffee maker is not included, hotel gave us an electric kettle to make tea.

Location is great - within a block of the train and bus station, across the street from the sports complex, down the street to the gondola to the top of First. Medium sized room is pretty good. Great updated bathroom, the rest could use some freshening. Breakfast was good - could use a toaster. The hotel restaurant is quite good... More

My husband and I stayed here this month for three nights. The location is great - liternally a block from the train station. There is a great little patio out front on the main drag so catching a meal or afternoon beverage is perfect for people watching. The hotel has a solid restaurant and great staff and wait staff. The... More

My wife and kids ( 9 & 12 years) are currently staying at the hotel. We have adjoining rooms with the bathroom in between. The rooms are clean and tidy. Breakfast is supplied and all you could ask for. The price is reasonable. The hotel is right in the centre of Grindelwald and a very short walk to the train... More

We dropped into the restaurant of this hotel after some exhaustive walking in the nearby mountains. The menu, by their own admission, is limited for food but we were happy to just have the bratwurst with fries. It was erved with an onion gravy that was really tasty - enough fries to feed an army. The service was really nice... More

It was less than 100 a night which is quite cheap for Switzerland. That is why 4 stars. Everything in my room was quite old but clean and I slept well. Breakfast was not super fancy but I enjoyed it a lot.

We booked this hotel because of it's one of the cheapest and still located very near to the train station. The owner also ensured us that they have a water boiler in the room so that we can make hot drinks in this cold region. Upon arrival, we notice that there is NO receptionist. We have to ring the bell... More

We had a week at this Hotel on a half board basis. We couldn't fault it! The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was tasty and wholesome and our room was large, spacious and comfortable. The whole place was full of character and even our room was adorned with wooden carved goats and cattle marching across the headboard-... More

The hotel is situated (as the name already tells 😉) directly in the village center of Grindelwald. All shops, busses, gondolas etc. are easily to reach and as a guest in the hotel you can use a lot of them for free or with a reduced rate. I had a room in the apartment-chalet behind the hotel. It was simple... More

I was in Grindelwald for the weekend and needed a place to stay that wasn't too expensive. The room was fine, nothing fancy. They had run out of parking, but suggested we just double park and leave the key at the front desk, so they can move it if need be. The breakfast buffet was good, had everything we needed.... More
