This summer We arrived last minute late in the evening with our little 3 months old Luca in this marvelous Hotel. The General Manager didn't hesitate to offer his personal parking spot in order to take out fast our luggage. They arranged the room with an appropriate baby bed and everything we needed. In the morning we woke up with...

I have to say that Lucerne is breathtakingly beautiful. I was enchanted with this city, the first moment I set eyes on it. Our bus tour chose this hotel for a two night stay. It's definitely a Grand Old Dame, and not modern at all. I don't mind, but for someone who wants a more modern Hilton type of hotel,...

Grand Hotel Europe may not be the nr. 1 luxury hotel in Lucerne - it's not pretending to be one - but having been in the business since 1870'ies (!) it can offer an unforgettable "Grand Hotel" experience on affordable price. We flew in to Zürich, took the direct train connection to Luzern station and then bus nr. 6 to...

My sister and I visited September20-22 and arrived exhausted. We were shown to a room directly facing a construction site in full swing. Pile drivers, jack hammers enough that the very room was shaking and the noise unbearable. When I asked for another room I was advised that any other room would cost $100. Per night more. Odd since the...

We stayed here for 4 days as a jumping off place for driving around Switzerland. That was a perfect idea! The front of the house staff was helpful and friendly. The bar staff went out of their way to make a late dinner panini! We had a spacious front facing room with a water view. They have a very tiny...

We visited on a Tour for two nights - the hotel was clean, and staff very friendly. It was convenient to the city center and offered a great walk along the Lake Lucerne. We'd welcome staying here on our own planned travel in the future.

The hotel was clean and our room was well appointed. The Hotel is old and a little dated, but the rooms were more modern in style. I generally like old world charm of older hotels as long as they are well maintained and tastefully updated with modern conveniences. The Grand Hotel Europe did not disappoint. All meals in the restaurant...

I was really impressed with this hotel. It's charm, warmth, location and staff made this the perfect spot. The cleanliness and picturesque scenery just invites you in and seems to caress you. Looking forward to a future visit.

Room was small and there was not much amenities. Breakfast service was poor except for a helpful asian lady (from Hong Kong). Will not stay there again! I am surprized that the owners of the hotel let the staff run amok!

I've stay with my friends in Hotel Europe for 1 night in July 2016. It's really nice hotel and good location with wonderful view. I love so much flower garden in front of hotel. Room is so so, breakfast is quite good. But we enjoyed so much.
