We stayed two nights at this hotel. The hotel was clean and we felt safe. The desk staff were helpful. We had a bunk bed for our son, which he enjoyed, but it was a head hitting hazard. The toilet was in its own room. The sink and shower were open to the entire room, but there was a curtain you could draw across the room to keep the bath-related areas private from the bed area. The shower was very small, as others have commented. There is a special discount document you can obtain from the front desk which is supposed to allow you to have free bus rides within the main part of town and discounts to some attractions. We used the buses, but no one ever checked to see if riders actually paid. The AC system was not working and the room felt stuffy, so we slept with the windows open. There were some restaurants near the hotel and a small mini-mart, but restaurants were open odd hours compared to what we expect in America. Overall, it was a good stay, and we would recommend this hotel to others who are looking for a reasonably priced hotel.

The hotel is situated within walking distance from city center, it's very basic but comfortable, small shower area, but they did provide toiletries. The front desk persons were really nice and have shared tips and trcks, as well as maps of the city.
We visited during Lilu festival and we loved it. Breakfast is available upon request, they do have parking, we were able to find the last spot, for which we paid 14 CHF, but it was quite convenient.

Located a 5-7 min bus journey from the Luzern train station and picturesque old town, this hotel is a good option for budget travellers. Rooms are a tad small, and there is no lock on the bathroom door. Wifi works well. There is no balcony, and the entire property is non-smoking. The staff is always well dressed and professional, helpful and smiling. The reception can be contacted for a free bus pass meant for tourists for the duration of your stay at Luzern. I didnt have breakfast here so cannot comment on the food. There is a Denner (discount supermarket) practically next door, which is worth a visit for great deals on swiss chocolate, beer, perfumes etc., in addition to the regular stuff. The hotel is also walking distance from a nice bar (Bar 59) which is open till late, a gas station, a pizza place, an indian restaurant etc. The neighborhood is very safe to walk around even late at night. There is free hot water available 24/7 in the lobby if you want to use it for your ramen bowl etc. The hotel also sell drinks and snacks 24/7 at the lobby.
In case I visit Luzern on a tight budget again, I would stay here.

The reception was overwhelmed with the arrivals and accordingly slow. The entrance area is not inviting and the whole building smells a bit strong, probably because of the carpets. The room is a small hole with almost no storage space. There is no bathroom, just a small toilet and an ultra-small sink by the bed where there is barely enough room for two hands under the tap. The shower is a plastic box with very little water pressure on the pipe. It constantly changes between hot and cold water. The ventilation in the room can be turned off because it is loud, but you can hear the ventilation in the toilet all night long. In the room there is a small window with manual blinds that are barely airtight. There is no hairdryer in the room.

The room is clean. We got the biggest room with 3 bedrooms though we only had 2 persons staying. The room in general has the basic amenities such as shower gel, toilet rolls and towels. The slighting door is a bit hard to move, seems faulty. The counter staffs are friendly and even give tips on some budget options to eat and buy food, like next door Denner supermarket. The cleaning staffs even knocked on the door to ask if I needed extra towels since I went out the whole day and didn’t need any cleaning services. The location is not exactly near the main station but it’s doable if you do not have big luggage.

I recently stayed at this budget hotel, and the name definitely fits. The room was tidy and neat, providing all the basic comforts we needed. The hotel's location is convenient, about 700 meters from Lucerne main station, with a bus stop right across the street offering frequent service to the station.
The staff at the reception were welcoming, though the city tax was higher compared to our other stays in Switzerland. The room had decent amenities like a TV, electric kettle, charging points, and air conditioning, which were appreciated.

Value for money - this is how I would describe my experience at ths hotel. Switzerland being an expensive country, we opted for a budget hotel and we did not regret it. The room size was small but it did not seem crowded because of the bunk bed that was a fantastic space saving feature of the room. The bathroom could have been better though.
The front desk satff were helpful with information about buses and bus timings to get around the city. The breakfast seemed popular as we saw many guests enjoying breakfast. However, I cannot comment on it as we usually rushed out in the morning without eating. The front desk sells smacks like chips and chocolate bars that we picked up on the way out.
The bus stop is just across the road from the hotel and it's close to the station too. Once you reach the station, every thing is near at hand. But if you are looking for views of the lucerne lake, this hotel does not offer that. I would then recommend one of the more expensive options by the lake. For budget traveller willing to walk to the lake, this is great value for money.

As my house has hyperactive smoke alarm, the location of the exposed shower to the smoke alarm gave me PTSD. It felt like I could not take a hot shower with the cold weather and the steam will erroneously trigger the fire alarm. To be specific, the shower is located beside the bed, and is not fully enclosed either, so steam will travel out of the shower area, which scared me from taking a hot shower.
The toilets are also separated from the sink, so if you came from Italy, this will be a shocker! No opportunity to wash! Out of luck.
As for the bed and the room itself, it was pretty much at a typical Ibis fashion. I have no complaints on that. Breakfast was alright as well. Not sure if I saw hot meat and scrambled eggs. I'm sure it's just continental breakfast. So that's one thing to check.
Location is great though. A short walk to the train station and you're downtown. No complaints there either.

The hotel is located very close to the Lake and Old Chapel Bridge and it is walkable from the Luzern main train station. You can also take a bus like No. 1 from the road in front of the station (near the bridge) and ride for 4-5 minutes to reach the Panorama bus stop and walk to the hotel. They give rooms at about 3PM but you can leave your luggage with them and take a city tour or boat tour and come back to check in.
The rooms are reasonably sized and the reception people are friendly and help out in case of any need. The room had kettle and tea bags can be collected from the restaurant for making tea in the room. The stores like MIGROS, BACHMAN, KANJI Indian hotel, etc. are nearby. Good restaurants are nearby to explore. Lion statute (garden) Museum is nearby where most tourists visit as a sight seeing place. There are a few places for buying souvenirs for taking home.

I am pretty sure yes. They have a microwave on the ground floor. While we didn’t use the facilities, I saw another guest using their pre cooked meals pkts to heat.
Just ask as you check in, as you'll get a free pass to ride any public transit within the city of Luzerne, including the day you check out. This will be useful for getting from the hotel to the train station by riding Tram #4.
