Hôtel Bristol Genève is celebrated for its spacious and elegantly appointed rooms, with guests often lauding the comfortable beds and modern bathrooms, although a few note the rooms can be smaller than anticipated. Its prime location near the lake and city attractions, coupled with luxurious amenities such as Molton Brown products, contributes to the hotel's reputation for great value, despite some guests considering it a bit pricey.
The staff's attentive and friendly service, alongside the hotel's cleanliness and inviting atmosphere, complete with lively music and comfortable furnishings, consistently earn high praise from travelers.

Detailed Reviews
Hotel's Favourite
I booked Hotel Bristol based on a month long research of reading other peoples' reviews. I think I have about 15 hotels saved in my TripAdvisor. I'm so glad I chose this hotel. I was worried I chose wrong especially after all my research.
1) Location - Hotel Bristol is a short 6 minute walk from Cornavin station which was super convenient as we arrived by SBB from Zurich with all of our luggage. It was perfect little walk over the bridge to all the shopping and to Old Town.
2) Staff was friendly and helped us check in seamlessly.
3) Room - I'm guessing the hotel was recently remodeled as it doesn't match the photos on TripAdvisor. It was so clean and new. They provided us with the best hair dryer, I even contemplated on going to InterDiscount to buy one and bring it home, but I'd always have to use a converter to use it at home.
There was a cute vanity and a hair straightener in there which I used everyday. You'd need to ask the front desk for a kettle. I drink tea every evening before bed and they brought it up within 5 minutes.
I always use my own toiletries, but here they provided Molton Brown shampoo, lotion, etc. It smelled so pretty that I couldn't resist using it. (I try not use anything with perfume, but it smelled so good)
4) Breakfast was super convenient for us. We had a packed agenda and we'd often skip lunch because the breakfast was quite filling.
Tip:
The hotel comes with tram and bus tickets, but you'd have to ask for it. The front desk told us that they can tell if your tourists and don't usually ask hence why they didn't provide it to us in the first place. However, I like to be safe than sorry.
The Manor (short 3 minute walk) Mall is really great for shopping, but if you want more go to Balaxert - 12 minute tram ride.

We stayed at Bristol Hotel for a family holiday. We reserved via the hotel website which was a better option than the deals offered by the hotel sites: it offers a great deal with breakfast included plus upgrade.
We chose the hotel based upon the price / location relation, which is unbeatable. It’s on top of the Quai du Mont Blanc, very close to the bridges connecting to the centre as well as to the train station.
The hotel is going through minor renovation, but is well kept. The staff is very helpful and always available.
The restaurant is small but serves a good breakfast.
All in all, great value for money.

This was our second stay in this hotel. The location is perfect; a 5 minutes walk from the central train station and close to the lake where you can spend time walking or cycling. The hotel has been refurbished recently and the rooms are quite good. But there are repairs going on inside the hotel and next door. The drilling and hammering caused us lot of anguish. The breakfast is quite unsatisfactory. A continental breakfast costs a lot and that does not include eggs! There is no buffet available. The lifts are rather small and cramped for space. On top of it, the maintenance supervisor, a lady, had a nasty habit of just pushing the door open without knocking! And the wifi coverage in the room was abysmal. But why 4 stars in spite of all these, one may wonder. The service was very good and the front desk staffs were so polite and helpful. They even reduced our bills a bit because of the disturbances. And the location! We might come back, if the breakfast and wifi quality improve! And once the repairs are over!

Dear Guests, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of the Hôtel Bristol Genève on TripAdvisor. I would also like to thank you for expressing the reason behind your marking us with 4 stars rather than 5. Feedback is so terribly important to us and allows us to focus on the areas where improvements can be made. I very much regret to read of the concerns and dislikes you had during your stay. This summer, we suffered from works coming from the building next door; I did my best personaly to make them start later but I know that sometimes they did not respect our gentleman's agreement. At the hotel, our renovations started at 11am in August whereas they normally started at 9am. Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience caused. I also had to adapt our breakfast service due to lack of staff. Although you faced some issues during your stay, I do appreciate your compliments towards certain aspects to the hotel and our staff. Please come and stay again and I will be delighted to upgrade you; I would very much like to hear from you and would take care of your booking personally. Warm regards,

I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful hotel for two weeks. I travel often and this was by far one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. I stayed in one of their "Unique" rooms which was recently renovated with Art Deco decor, a gorgeous marble shower with a rain shower, and plenty of closet space for a long stay. The room overlooked the garden which added to a serene environment and although I was there during busy season, the hotel was quiet. The bed was heaven and the service was fantastic. Upon asking for an iron and ironing board, it arrived in my room in just minutes. Room service was prompt, but I was most impressed by housekeeping and turn-down service. The room was equipped properly and thoroughly cleaned daily. The included bottle of water was a nice amenity rarely provided by hotels, as were the chocolates each evening. The gym is small, but equipped well and clean. They also have a jacuzzi, cucumber-ice water, and a sauna. You cannot beat this location - walking distance (5min) to the Old Town and shopping. The bus stop is literally just outside the front door. I commuted daily across town toward the United Nations and it was incredibly easy to navigate throughout the city. There are many restaurants within walking distance and the main Cornavin/Geneve Station is only a 7 min walk. I will definitely be back.

We stayed at the Hotel for a short City Break. Check in was swift, we took the room upgrade as it also included breakfast.
Room was spacious and clean. The bed was a dream to sleep in. Molton Brown Toiletries are provided, so a nice touch.
Breakfast is small but a really great selection, I especially loved the fresh fruit selection with passion fruit and pineapple.
The Hotel is really well located close to the lake and only a 10 min walk from the train station.
I would recommend the Hotel for Business Travel or a City Break.

The hotel has a perfect location , easy to get picked up for tours, restaurants and nice shops all around, right by the historic center and main square.
We were upgraded to a beautiful large room with 2 full size beds, very comfortable.
They need to upgrade the bath, with some glass doors, because the fabric of the curtains stick to you during Taking a shower.

Amazing hotel, perfect location and great staff.
The room was well thought out, no need for wall plugs to charge Iphone they have the socket. When you take the key out of the wall the lights remain on for a few moment to allow you to leave without the room being in darkness.
Light sensor in the bathroom and very cool decor.
Service in the restaurant was great, I have a food allergy and they went out of their way to accommodate me.
I will be definitely staying here again.

On first appearance, the hotel is pretty grand with a nice lobby. Positives were the breakfast offerings and the location.
Negatives were the tired and stained rooms not adequate for a 4* hotel,
Complete lack of WIFI anywhere apart from lobby area.
Tiny lifts that could fit 4 people at a push without any luggage.
Did make a complaint on arrival after viewing the rooms we were offered but " nothing cold be done as they were full to capicity" I really did not feel that the hotel was 100% capacity during our stay.
Apart from breakfast, there is was little other dining choices for vegetarian diners.
Would not recommend.

We recently had a weekend trip to Geneva. We had never been before and didn't know where to stay .We were flying with Easyjet so decided to book the whole trip with Easyjet holidays. The whole trip was fantastic and very well organized. The taxi transfer was waiting for us at the airport and the hotel was only about 20 minutes drive. From arrival at the hotel everything was great. The staff at reception were very friendly, welcoming and helpful giving us good information about what to see during our visit. The flight was very early so we didn't expect to be able to check into our rooms but there were 2 rooms ready and we were shown to those which was a bonus. The rooms were bright and airy and modern with lovely bathrooms. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the cleaning staff obviously do an amazing job. The restaurant staff again were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is in a great location for exploring Geneva and combines the best of old world hospitality with modern hotel facilities. Breakfast and dinner was of a very high standard and I really would recommend the hotel and would like to go back one day soon.

We stayed at the Hotel Bristol Geneve for two nights at the end of another trip that began and ended at the Bus Station 1 block away. We were impressed with the room quality, helpful conceirge staff, and included breakfast. It is a wonderful Hotel adjacent to the Four Seasons Hotel but a fraction of the cost. The hotel even packed a box breakfast with a sandwich, croissant, orange juice and fruit for our early departure that we ate on the plane back to the US. If you are passing through Geneve, consider the Bristol!

Hi Lauren,
Commuting by train from Zurich to Geneva is the best - you have trains every 30mn and it takes 2h45. I suggest you to download the "Mobile CFF" app which is free and so convenient to use. All train schedules are in there with the gate is already indicated.
Looking forward to welcoming you!
Kind regards,
HI,
Sorry for our late answer on this platform. The baby cot is free of charge of course, but please inform us upon booking.
A child is free in his parents' room up to 6.
Kind regards,
Xavier Collange
Hi from Geneva,
The only station in Geneva is the main train station in the city centre, called CORNAVIN.
The Bristol is a short walk from there, direction to the lake on the left handside just before the Mont-Blanc bridge - see the map on Google (that we can't include). Max 8 minutes walk, follow the lake sign.
Looking forward to welcoming you, we remain at your entire disposal for any further assistance.
Kind regards,
They do not have parking, but they tell you were you can and it is around 50 CHF
"Just exit the train station following signs for Rue Mont-Blanc and you’ll head through a nice area with cafes and avoid more congested areas"Read full review
