If you are looking for convenience and simplicity in a central Bern location, this is your place. The hotel is a very short walk from the central train station and is almost equally close to the old city. Outside the hotel door is a bustling pedestrian street of shops. The rooms are sufficiently spacious (I booked a deluxe room) with all the necessities but no frills. My bed was comfortable, the bathroom modern and roomy (not always the case in European hotels), and there were blackout blinds to ensure the light and noise from the below street would not negatively impact my rest. The room and reception area were also very clean; however, the hallway carpets could use a little more attention. The staff were very warm, welcoming, and capable.

Hotel Savoy is outstanding. A 5 minute walk from the train and tram stations, it is the perfect base for enjoying Bern or taking day trips across Switzerland. A 5 star staff that eagerly satisfied anything we wanted. One staff member hustled a valuable backpack to the train gate that I had forgotten in my room on the morning of departure before I even figured out it was missing; minutes before boarding a train to Milan. The rooms are soundproof, squeaky clean, cozy with superb heat and great power ports for charging smart phones. The bathroom was roomy, modern with the best shower I have had in some time. The breakfast was well worth the cost and well stocked with delicious local meats, cheeses, eggs, scones, breads and more to fuel the day. Drinks are available w4/7. My wife and I will return to stay here the next time in Bern and recommend it highly.

Very convenient hotel located 5 minutes from train and bus station. We stayed in 4th floor in the back. 401 onwards are better more silent rooms. During the weekends you can get a lot of noise from the street. You can have a hot breakfast for 24 CHF, however if you prefer you can buy it in a Coop to go store or in a Migros store in the train station.
The hotel offers water, coffee and tea and a very good and confortable bed setting. The bathroom has also a good size.
Bern is a good location if you want to use it as a central point to go to other placea like Zermatt, Interlaken and Thun.

Nice boutique hotel, perfectly located next to the Bern station and walking distance from the main interest and the old town. The rooms are small but well decorated, the breakfast buffet is very good and offer a large choice of cold and hot meat incl. fresh juice fruits.

The Hotel Savoy is perfectly located, only two blocks from the train station and within easy walking distance of the sights and restaurants of central Bern. At first, you may not be impressed: the entrance is shared with a hair salon next door, and the lobby is small. However, we were greeted warmly as if we were old friends by the reception staff. And the good stuff is upstairs. Our room was beautifully furnished with a contemporary decor. A large built-in wardrobe provided ample closet space and a rack for a large suitcase. In addition to a small desk, there was a comfortable side chair. The bathroom featured a large walk-in shower and a vanity with sufficient counter space for incidentals. The room was immaculate, in excellent repair and silent, resulting in excellent sleep quality.
Our reservation included breakfast. The buffet was excellent with a wide variety of hot and cold items. Several staff members maintained the quality of the buffet.
Okay, the hotel entrance isn't grand, but the comfort of the room, excellence of service and a great breakfast buffet earns this hotel my strong review. Were I to return to Bern, I'd clearly choose to stay at the Hotel Savoy again.

Beautiful hotel situated in the heart of Bern. It is perfectly located for a city visit, but also very near to the station and bus terminal.
The reception is welcoming and efficient. Rooms are spacious and modern, with good storage space and comfortable chairs. The bed was comfortable and large, with a choice of pillows. We appreciated the kettle and separate coffee maker. The bathroom was lovely and the shower was amazing!
One rare blessing was having the room serviced daily - doesn't seem to happen in hotels these days.

A brilliant stay with the most knowledgeable and helpful staff who are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the service offered. All were the best I have come across and especially Charles who helped and went the extra mile with the whole stay from initial booking to advise on trips and travel tips.

This hotel had a perfect location just across the street from the train station. The rooms were well laid out with a large, walk-in shower with rain head. The desk was the largest we had on our three week trip and had a UK plug (we did not have a Swiss converter) so everything could be charged. Plenty of hanging room and shelves and space for an open suitcase. Front desk was extremely helpful and we benefitted from the included travel pass. Went all over town on public transport. Lastly breakfast buffet was more than adequate and included some hot options.

I’m not sure but there are lots of cafes very close to the hotel where you could get an omelette for breakfast

We found the location excellent.
It is very close to public transport - the bus and tram interchange is less than a 5 minute walk away. The hotel will provide you with a transport pass when you check-in.
The Old Town is about a 10 to 15 minute walk away. We walked to the bear park (largely down hill) and caught the bus back. There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby the hotel.
We found the hotel's location to be perfect for our needs.
