We stayed here for a couple of nights on the way down to Italy. The hotel is conveniently if you're arriving by car, and has good transport links to the center of Bern (by tram, which is every 10 mins or so and takes about 20 mins, at a cost of 8 CHF return) or by train (less frequent, but...

This hotel is across the street from the tram, and attached through the lobby to a mall. We were surprised by this set up, but ended up enjoying the convenience of the food court and the movie theater. The staff was friendly. Overall, this place is ok, and convenient for families.

I could not really find any hotel in the historic downtown Bern area that would work for a family of 4 and after looking into the suburb reviews we found this Holiday Inn option. What we got were two rooms that adjoined by an interior door, breakfast buffet for all 4 of us, free wireless internet that had a strong...

Holiday Inn has never let me down, be it in India or else where. But it has been sometime since I had stayed in one and I notices the earlier splurge breakfast is no more there. The breakfast was very basic. But overall the quality of the food was very good. As usual the service was also quite good. The...

My family and I stayed here and we thought the water park (BernAqua) there was open. When we got there, they said it was closed for the month! The website is misleading by saying it is open. The beds are small, and it's outside of the city, so you have to take a train or tram to get to the...

I stayed at this hotel in 2010, then again in 2011. I still think it is an excellent hotel, and it is still just as clean and nice as it was when new. This is an update to my previous review. Two issues I need to report on: First, the internet access provides three choices, two paid options and a...

Our stay in the Holiday Inn at Bern, Brunnen Westside was enjoyable. As mentioned in other reviews you do need to take either a 6-7 minute train ride or a 20+min tram ride to get into the city centre. We found the public transport system convenient and regular enough for this not to be a hassle. Holiday Inn staff were...

This hotel is a brand new modern hotel. Very clean, spacious and comfortable room. There is a very good shopping mall near the hotel where you can find multiple stores, nice restaurants and fast food to eat. Very friendly staff (they even offer you a swiss chocolate when you check-in!). Very good continental breakfast. The only bad thing is that...

We didn't realise it would take nearly half an hour on a tram from the main train station to reach the hotel. There is a shopping centre and cinema out there but no tourist attractions. However, the room was beautiful and brand new, with a comfortable bed and many restaurants/take away and a supermarket in the adjoining shopping centre. The...

Located out in an up and coming suburban area of Bern, 3 stops on the S-Bahn from the Bern main train station, this area known as Westside is something out of the future. The hotel itself is literally 20 yards from the platform of the S-Bahn line and attached to a new higher end shopping mall (you do not even...
