Location is perfect, just 2 mins walk from Basel SBB station (also for the bus to airport) and 5 seconds walk to the tram station. just spend you 10 mins even you want to take a walk to the town centre.

Yes I see the charming part of the hotel and staff was really lovely but :
Room was really small and dark. Bed was also small

Like other respondees I would suggest the bus route given the difference in price quoted for bus fare vs taxi fare and the fact the bus stops at the main station bus stop from which the Hotel should be in plain sight.

Like other respondees I would suggest the bus route given the difference in price quoted for bus fare vs taxi fare and the fact the bus stops at the main station bus stop from which the Hotel should be in plain sight.
We actually arrived by train from Zurich airport and so found our way from the station in Basel.
Would also suggest ensure you pay with Swiss Francs as using any other currency opens up that nest of hornets of exchangers giving you a dreadful exchange rate on your credit cards payment in another currency.

Exit airport on the Swiss side; turn right after arrivals exit and head for the buses. You need bus 50. If you have acreservation in Basel take the reservation copy with you because some hotels give you free Basel passes for bus and trams ( check with your hotel).
If you need a ticket then use the machines, alll easy.
You want. Number 50 that takes you to the Bahnhoff SBB. The bus terminates here. Get off, look for the pink hotel on your left with your back to the railway station.
