Reviewed yesterday NEW

The junior suite was plenty big enough and quiet. Well-appointed, all round top grade. Service was fine, and staff were polite and helpful. The breakfast was also of a high standard, and the bar was pleasant if a little public.

Great hotel in a great location. Staff looked after us very well, lilly on the front desk was amazing. As it was our wedding anniversary I emailed the hotel the Week before we arrived to ask if they could arrange a surprise for my wife on arrival. Lilly did not let me down. We were upgraded to a junior suite... More

there is unfortunately a lack of good 4 star and only 1 5 star hotels in basel. after a lot of consideration we chose this hotel. the hotel as others mention is beside the train station. however there is a lot of noise at night from the road coming from the trams. the room is nice and spacious as is... Dear Jane Many thanks for choosing the Euler for your stay in Basel as well as for sharing your experience. The bed comfort is very individual. Some guests love soft beds, some prefer harder mattresses. Of course, we try to satisfy everybody.... The coffee/tea facilities are on every floor. With the next refurbishment, we shall equipe all our rooms with... More

Stayed on business and had the opportunity to stay in both a standard room and a suite..... If you can afford it, the suites are lovely, and the small bottle of local wine is a lovely gesture. Wifi reception was good throughout (which some hotels fall down on), and free transport pass helped get me around the city. Staff were... More

The hotel is in an excellent location near the railway station and close to tram stops. The rooms are excellent, spacious and meticulously clean. The staff could not be more helpful, friendly and above all, very efficient. Overall an excellent stay in Basel and I would happily stay at this hotel again.

I found this hotel a couple of years ago for my boss. He has stayed there since. I traveled to Basel for the first time in October and stayed here as well. It's in a great location near the train station and very near shopping and dining. The room, even the single, was quite adequate for my needs. It had... More

Located near the main strain station, has all trams by the door. Together with the pass you get for public transportation makes Basle easy. Rooms are not bad, big, comfy beds, most of the amenities for a short stay. Bathrooms are pretty big, new and well appointed. For a four star hotel was strange not to have a drawer. That... More

Let's start with the bad because it's easier that way! No tea and coffee facilities in the room - but available on every floor - along with a fruit bowl always with fruit in it. The hotel was class. Everything about it I thought was good. The staff are friendly and helpful, it is right in the middle of Basel and right next to a huge train station linking lots of places together. Really enjoyed this hotel, would come again.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Euler was built in 1867 by Abraham Euler and is one of the earliest tributes to high-end hospitality in Europe. Since 1981 it has belonged to the Manz Family. This elegant four stars superior hotel was completely refurbished in May 2008 in a modern style, still keeping the traditional elegance of a grand hotel. It has 66 rooms, 6 of which are junior suites. All rooms offer the highest in comfort and modern technology and combine modernity with tradition and design. The Euler restaurant and bars combine seasonal specialities with classic traditional dishes and cater to all needs, from a hearty breakfast to a fast business lunch to a cosy candle light dinner. In the summer time the Euler Terrace is one of Basel’s main meeting points, for a quick coffee or an aperitif. A Starbucks coffee shop on premises completes the food and beverage offer. ... more   less
