Friendly and efficient staff, lovely clean bedroom, excellent bathroom, complimentary mini bar, and gorgeous breakfast. All within a short walk of the railway station and tram stop to the city centre. Hope to return!

The room although small was very nice, and the artistic touches throughout the hotel made my morning walk downstairs very pleasant. Hotel staff was very nice. The hotel is in a great location with easy access to transportation.

Stay 3 nights (Eco room) in this hotel. Room is not big but is clean and quiet. Staffs here are all very friendly and willing to provide help to meet our needs. Breakfast is really good. Staying here is quite pleasant and satisfactory. We will definitely choose GAIA again when we get another chance to visit Basel in the future.

The location is perfect! It is right off the SBB train so you can get anywhere, more or less in Europe. It is close to the city center and just an overall easy place to get to. It is very quiet and the rooms are all modern and comfortable. The breakfast is also amazing!! Highly recommend for your stay in...

The hotel is clean and near a lot of public transportation. The breakfast was good. The rooms and bathrooms are small but if that doesn't bother you, then it'll be fine. Beds were twin size for a single person room but were comfortable so I didn't mind since I'm not a big person.

The room I had was not large but was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great, just a shame that they do not serve evening meals. Having said that, there are plenty of Restaurants close by. The staff were very friendly and helpful - this is a nice hotel if you want a change from the Holiday Inn types.

Basel is EXPENSIVE and the value of this family run hotel including Breakfast made all the difference to us. From the welcome of the reception staff and Hotel Dog ( cuddles every morning!) to the attention to detail from house keeping we were very pleased at out choice. Opposite the Train station with triple glazing to road side rooms and...

As always, it was a real pleasure to stay at the Gaia. The facilities (including the recently-opened Spa) are ideal, and the service was, as ever, impeccable. Furthermore, with such a great location opposite the railway station, it is difficult for me to ever choose any other hotel in Basel for my business and leisure trips.

I arrived at this hotel feeling very poorly and after 24 hours in one of their single rooms, left feeling fully recovered. Three reasons: first, great staff; second, very comfortable rooms (very impressed by such a comfortable king single bed and a relatively spacious room for one person); third, the free mini-bar with a nice choice of bio / organic...

Whilst the room was compact it was clean and quiet. It was very handy to the main train station and very convenient to the old town either a 10 min walk or just hop on the trams just down the road from the hotel. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfasts were...
