Walking distance to Swiss and French Rail Stations as well as Airport Bus. The staff go beyond their regular duties to accommodate your needs. Very clean environment and friendly service. Good food, good service what else do you want for those excellent room rates. Will be back for sure!

Cannot thank the staff at City Inn enough! Had a terrible flight, delayed for 24hours, the staff here cancelled my initial nights stay so that I was not charged, then as I was only staying for one further night, my partner and I were upgraded to a deluxe room free of charge! I was picked up from the airport on...

Dear guests It is good to hear that we could compensate your unpleasant journey and made you feel at home. A little tip your next visit: there is a bus (no 50) from the airport to the railway station (2 minutes walk) at no cost with your reservation confirmation. Please let us know when you plan your next trip to...

Fine for a night and the location is superb for public transport but nothing to write home about and price was not that much lower. They are owned and managed by the Euler hotel people so you do share the lobby with them and their guests.

We stayed at city inn cause we had to go to Basel airport in the morning. The bus stop to the airport was about 50m from the hotel, exactly infront of the Basel train station. Location had lots of food options nearby like McD, Burger King, Migros supermarket and also an asian restaurant across the street. Rooms had low ceilings...

City Inn is the discount part of the Euler Hotel. The Euler is a classic four star Swiss property. You register at the Euler reception and have full access to all Euler facilities. The rooms in the City Inn are all bright lime green decor. They are very large and modern. Desk with chair and table with chairs. Bathroom was...

Location extremely convenient to Train Station. Stay includes complementary pass on local tram which stops right across street. Hotel is a little difficult to find, directions were not clear but it is on the same street as the tram only a block from the Station. Elevator to room level, but about six steps up from the street. The City Inn is in the ideal location in Basel, right in front of the tram stop and the SBB railway station. Entrance and check in are by way of the Hotel Euler and the facilities are the Euler's. The difference is noticeable after check in when you are let through a series of function rooms, past the kitchen and...

Dear Brian Many thanks for honest review. I can absolutely follow your feelings and understand your point of view. However, I would like to emphasize that all room categories, there size, prices etc are very clearly explained on the internet. Of course, the Grandhotel Euler is a very different level, offering more comfort and amenities for higher rates. For your...

I stayed here for three nights with my two young children, and my sisters in a separate room. A bonus on check-in was that we were upgraded to a larger room for our stay. Made mistake of committing for an early bird rate at this hotel three months before travel on a prepaid basis. Dear Mr. L I truly regret that you found our hotel overpriced. Referring to our conversation during your stay, we have a very busy season in town due to citywide conventions. It is really pity that you did not choose a weekend for your Basel discovery. Indeed, on a weekend the rates are generally much cheaper. However, the rate comparison...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The City Inn is a stylish boutique hotel, totally renovated in 2011, in a contemporary art decor. This 3 star hotel is located adjacent to the Hotel Euler, a traditional 4 star hotel; they both belong to the Manz Family. The City Inn has 30 non-smooking rooms, 8 of which are deluxe. Some rooms include separate living areas and a terrace. We kindly advise that not all of the rooms do have an elevator access. All services offered to the Hotel Euler guests are also available to the City Inn guests, for instance free WIFI internet access, Video on Demand TV and breakfast buffet.
