We stayed at Hotel D for 3 nights before our Viking Cruise. Our room was ready when we arrived early. The hotel is very modern with very good wifi. Beds are comfortable and bathroom is really nice. This hotel is across from apartments on the river and you can walk to vista points, restaurants and bus/tram lines. Wish there was... More

Basel has a wonderful tram/bus system and Hotel D is very convenient if you take advantage of this mode of transportation (the hotel will give you a free pass for the length of your stay). An easy walk to charming Old Town and the Marktplatz; one short block from the Rhine River. Clean, but very cold rooms (thermostat / heat... More

located close to my investments and easy to get around some of the nicest restaurants around basel, safe at night but parking is a little far under the hospital parking facility...but the staff is attentive and the room is nice.

It really is a beautiful hotel with a great location. I especially loved the floor to ceiling window overlooking the city street. Good service, very comfortable room. I recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Basel.

Front desk staff always friendly & accommodating & helped us with where to dine "as the locals". City map provided. Complimentary passes to ride local bus & tram were included with our stay & this was big help. Very contemporary designed hotel & rooms. Bed was comfortable. Great shower (had a hand-held AND a 'rain' shower head). Breakfast was available... More

Got a very good price, very early check-in and an upgrade. We were offered a free cup of coffee and tea while we waited for the room. The room and bathroom were very nice. The hotel is just across the street from the river with easy access to the promenade. We will stay here again when back in Basel.

The hotel is within walking distance of the shopping area. Public transportation is literally right outside the hotel. There is no parking in the hotel, but there are options within walking distance (but a little pricey). Very nice staff, could only recommend
