Hotel Birsighof is a fab find - a small hotel in a quiet street run by a lovely family and their friendly staff. I have stayed their many times for business and have always found a warm welcome alongside a totally professional service. The breakfast was delicious with the usual Swiss ham, cheese and breads alongside delicious homemade muesli and...

We loved our stay in this very nice hotel. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was especially good. They make a fresh muesli with yogurt and fresh fruit that really tastes great. We enjoyed everything as we had gotten used to the cold breakfast selections in Switzerland....

Hotel Birsighof was the second time for my partner (both times for 3 nights), my first stay (2 nights), and will definitely continue to be our Hotel in Basel. Why? The family/owner's daily consistency, dedication, commitment and pride in having you enjoy their "small Hotel home." We have lived both in Basel and Binningen, know the area and hotel choices...

Enjoyed two nights at this lovely hotel. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful -- a pleasure to deal with. Our room was small but very clean and quiet, and the beds were super, super comfortable. There was a desk and shelving for our clothing and other belongings. The bathroom was small (picture a cruise ship bathroom) but very nicely...

The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful.  Beds were comfortable, room was clean, breakfast and breakfast room were very nice.  Good location and great value for Basel. This is not a fancy hotel but it is very comfortable all around. I would stay here again.

This was our second stay at this hotel and we were just as happy and impressed with it as the first time two years ago. The couple who own the hotel are extremely friendly and dedicated to meeting every need. We had trouble with our phone chargers and they handed over their adapter without question which very few hotels will...

The hotel is situated about 10 minutes walk from the station and five minutes from the centre, in a nice and quite street. Asmall hotel, run by the owners, clean, nice breakfast and free public transport.

This is a good find in Basel: downtown but nothing glitsy, and far from traffic noise. Run by exceptionally welcoming staff. I arrived late when my train was cancelled and might have gotten the manager out of bed but he was cheerful and anxious to help, offering me food from the breakfast buffet when I said I was hungry. It...

As a business travler, this small botique hotel has everything you want and more. Clean rooms with functioning wifi (so hard to find) and an excellent continental breakfast. The family that runs it gives incredibly good personal service. Next time I'm in Basel, there's no other choice for me.

I have been at Birsighof hotel for business in October. The hotel is in a perfect location, very close to the city centre and train station but still in a quiet street. Rooms are nice and clean, with all comfort, free wifi included. Breakfast is delicious and the staff is really kind. Next time in Basel I would book again...
