Very nice hotel, and the restaurant downstairs is excellent with a very good breakfast. Prime location, very near the Rhein river and the Old City. All the amenities (CoOp, Jambo) and Manor Shopping center are within 5 minutes walk. And of course the free public transportation within Basel is an excellent idea.

Accommodation was excellent, staff very helpful and welcome. That was my first visit in this hotel but definitely not the last one. Room was very pleasant so if someone ask - I would recommend this place to stay in Basel without a doubt ;)

We had a lovely, refurbished, triple room, on the 3rd floor at the back of the hotel, with access to a large balcony leading to a fire escape. Room 311. I'd asked for a quiet room on one of the upper floors, and got it. Very clean hotel, super friendly reception staff, good breakfast, and trams right outside. What more...

This hotel is at the cheaper end of the market in Basel but is very nice. It's close to the centre of town. Tram stop is right next to it so has good transport links. Rooms are clean. Bathroom is nice. The woman on reception is very helpful. Didn't eat at the restaurant so can't comment on that. Overall I...

We didn't even stay the night. My husband and I were in town for a conference and this hotel was listed as one of the hotels associated with the conference. It was awful - worse than my freshman dorm room. Extremely tiny with very, very tired, cheap bed and desk. Supposedly a king sized bed, which the wood on the...

Basic comfortable rooms, large clean bathroom. Not much choice for breakfast but was adequate. The breakfast area was part of the bar, shared with the public. Near the tram stops. Helpful staff on reception although the left luggage arrangement was a little chaotic.

We don't know anything about this hotel, but we did eat her for supper one night. Delicious!!! Try to local Swiss food here! It is not fancy but quite comfortable and casual. Lots of local people seemed to be eating here.

We stayed in the hotel 1 night during ArtBasel. Location is excellent for that purpose. Room was small but in the excellent condition both in terms of the cleanness and the furniture. Bathroom was also great, everything looked as if if had been set recently. Breakfast buffet was additional nice surprise- variety of pastries, cold cuts, yoghurts, fresh fruits, etc....

Starting with the good points... + The staff were nice. + The location is decent. It's a five minute walk to the river and there are some bars and restaurants nearby. + I got a great deal on my stay. It was a bargain by Swiss prices. + Good, free wifi. But... - Reception said the lift doesn't go to...
