This place was perfect. The staff was friendly and very helpful. It is hard to park in Perugia so we went by cab which was not far and had a wonderful time. The views of the countryside are great. Food was good and Michaels father made us some sausage. What a great experience. I hope to return there. Thank you.

Five minute drive to old town. Beautiful hillside setting. Clean reasonably sized room. No toiletries provided. Super friendly host. Good breakfast. Impossible to find with GPS. called owner for directions while en route. Great bang for the buck!

Really enjoyed my 2 night stay at this B&B. The room was spacious and clean, with beautiful views of the Umbrian countryside. The hosts/owners were wonderfully attentive and kind. The breakfast provided was basic but delicious. The only thing to consider is that the B&B is not in town (about 10 minutes drive) so you will need a vehicle to... More

We stayed there one week and everything was perfect! We felt as a part of their family. We could have a coffee everytime we wanted to have it and nothing was a problem for Michele and Tiziana. For me, as a coeliac, it was the best place for staying. We will come back sometimes.

We rented a car from Florence to come here & instead of one we spent 2 days. The countryside and our hosts with 2 lovely boys are wonderful. From the first moment we got there, we felt as we are at home. Our room was small, very beautiful decorated, very clean and the the linens were smelled so good, that... More

The service of a 5 star hotel, the beautiful hillside view and a relaxing and familiar atmosphere: this is C´era una Volta B&B. Michele and Tiziana makes you feel really at home as soon as you step in their B&B. They are very understanding and sweet people who go the extra mile to always make you feel at home. The... More

First things first - you DO need a car to get to this place, and our TomTom was practically rendered useless on those roads, taking us round the other side of the hill!!! But then, we called Michele and told him we're stuck, and he came to pick us up - Michele and Titsana are the warmest hosts ever, they'll... More

First off - you WILL need a car to get here and then you will need very good directions to this place. From the other reviews, you will note that getting to this place can be a challenge. The reason is you will exit the paved road onto an unpaved road to get to this place. The unpaved road did... More

I really debated whether to put this review up, but I feel I owe it to the Trip Advisor community. We booked this B &B based on it's high rating, and I saw that people wrote it was hard to find - but with a map and a GPS we circled a scary little windy road for almost an hour!!!... More

We are always ready to receive bad reviews because it definitely helps us to grow. Sorry for the inconvenience incurred, but the site contains three interactive maps and pdf googlemap streetwiew to help guests. I remember that we are in the countryside, 4 km from the center and all the guests who have contacted us are then reached. I recall... More

We stayed in this place with my family in 6 person. The place is in middle of nature and it's also very closed to city center. It takes only 4-5 minutes to go over the Perugia city center. But if you don't have a car, it's not possible to reach at B&B. Owner family lives in same building and they're... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Once upon a time...is a B&B emerged in the Umbrian green hills just in front of the ancient walls of Perugia and therefor the perfect starting point to visit the town! Our B&B is a typical rural Umbrian house built of bricks and beautiful roof tiles. A traditional Umbrian house joined with modern respect of nature, which for us is fundamental. We produce our own electricity with our photovoltaic implant which produces warm-water. A heat pump produces heating and also supplies us with energy for air-conditioning. This guaranties maximum comfort and restrains the consumption. To minimise any kind of impact on nature we have adapted recycling which abled us to achieve a "ecosostenibilità da Legambiente" mark, eco-sustainability from Legambiente (the most widespread environmental organisation in Italy, "association of environmental intrest")Our guests are welcomed to a family-based stay in a flat with an independent entrance on the first floor. We are more than pleased to give advice on what to visit and we gladly give indications to unknown artistic and culinary destinations in the territory. With love for tradition, such as ancient furniture, wooden beam and historical agricultural equipment, we have created our frame for the B&B.A big porch surrounds the B&B and guests are given the possibility to lay down in the hammock and listen to familiar sounds from the owl, the hoopoe, or if you are an early bird even hear the cock-crow.If you are more of a sporty person you can go for a walk in the forest, gather typical land products or simply just go for a bike-ride admiring the beautiful settings. ... more   less

“There are different rooms. There is 1 room with a terrace, if you're 3, then ask to stay here. Every room is air conditioned. The room we stayed was the room with a violet flower. Small but very comfortable. Breakfast is served in the kitchen which is near the entrance with warm home kitchen stuff. Enjoy your day :)”
