Lo Scudo is a very simple B&B for a good value. The couple that runs it is very kind (practice your Italian) & the rooms are simple but we'll kept. Air conditioning was a bit weak, but it was a very hot week! Breakfast was simple with the basics available & they would bring out anything we needed if they...

In short: value for money, no frills, basic, clean, cozy/family-style hospitality, and very very good location. Hubby is usually the 4/5-star hotel type and rather fussy, but he loves this cozy B&B. We spent 3 nights in the beautiful town of Assisi, and every evening, we said to each other, "Let's go back to Auntie's house!" 'coz that was how...

The rooms (we had two) were very small and bare, as was the bathroom. The shower was not enclosed, but was open to the entire bathroom. It was clean, however. The breakfast was extremely modest, consisting of one croissant per person (albeit absolutely delicious-the best I have ever tasted), some cereal, crackers and coffee. The breakfast room/gathering room was absolutely...

Having taken the opportunity to visit the lovely city of Assissi during our recent trip to Italy I was surprised to find such a good deal on this cozy well-located bed and breakfast. The owner/hostess was very genial and helpful and it was a special treat to have plenty of American style coffee offered with the breakfast (included in the...

we had a room for a family of 4 which was very comfortable. Loredana at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The location was good, as it was situated more to the centre than to the main attractions, which are at both ends of Assisi. We loved Assisi, and would recommend Lo Scudo.

This B&B is located just down the road from St. Francis Basilica, on a very quaint street in Assisi. Our double room with attached bath was simple but clean, and more than adequate for our one night stay. The staircase up to the second floor was a bit steep and narrow, but manageable even with two large suitcases. The hosts...

Lo Scudo a small family run hotel in Assisi represents amazing value all round. The location is perfect and so easy to reach given that Assisi is pretty hilly to say the least. The standard of this small hotel is first class really. Lovely quiet rooms, well appointed. Breakfast is more than ample and overall the small is well worth...
