Owners & hosts Lorenzo & Giacomo are utterly charming and could not be any more helpful or welcoming. A small countryside villa at the top of a hill, the property is very beautiful. If you seek large chain ultra modern soul-less places to stay, Palazzo di Valli probably isn't for you... But if you appreciate peace, stunning views and relaxing...

What a charming and quaint Bed and Breakfast just outside of the center of Siena. I couldn't imagine a better place to stay. The building is a 15th century villa which once housed the families of Popes. Each room is unique with an historical value. The rooms are clean and spacious with modern bathrooms. History and charm abounds in this...

Just returned from a wonderful 6 night stay at Palazzo di Valli! It is a lovely 18th century property quietly situated 10 minutes walk from the city walls, with stunning views over the surrounding countryside. We arrived later that expected due to transport problems and too late to venture into Siena for food, but while we unpacked, the night person...

Palazzo di Valli lived-up to the pictures AND the prices were within our budget. Five Star service from Eugenio, Jacobo & Lorenzo ('Il Manifico' ;-) Breakfast on ground or terrace (weather permitting) were filling & flavour-some. Coffee / Tea-tray with kettle & milk was provided but if this came as standard with mini plastic carton of UHT (& possible complementary...

Driving through Tuscany we spent one night in this lovely villa, here’s how we found it. Location – just a short walk from the walls of Sienna we parked our car for free on the villa’s property and easily walked wherever needed. The views from the property our outstanding and were something I think most people dream about when they...

Lorenzo and staff get an A. Some may find 5 circles too generous because this is not a luxury hotel. Fair enough. What it is is a lovely, serene property just outside the city walls, with a nice view that includes the city, "suburbs", and mostly countryside with vineyards and olive groves. Good place to stay if you don't want...

Having actually stayed at this hotel, I think I can explain why it gets such good ratings. The setting is stunning, with views, from rooms and the terrace, of the city of Siena in one direction and the wonderful Tuscan countryside in the other. Poised between town and country, you have the best of both. It's about ten minutes' walk...

This place is like a home in Siena. Small and cosy such as spending a weekend at a Sienian friend's country villa. Very efficient check-in, friendly and attentive staff. Patio with breathtaking green views should be experienced. Basic decoration in the rooms and the vintage feeling just matches the old and beautiful city. Would stay again next time.

After reading Trip Advisor reviews, my wife and I stayed for 3 nights at the end of May 2014. The spectacular view from our room was surpassed only by the friendly, accommodating and gracious staff. Giocommo was especially helpful. His directions and patience were much appreciated and we accessed his experience and expertise as we planned our daily side trips....

We stayed at this Palazzo di Valli for two nights as part of a two week trip to Italy, and it was a highlight of the trip. From the moment we arrived, the service was wonderful -- we were concerned our car wouldn't make it through the tight turn/gate, so one of the staff members came down and drove it...
