Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Albergo Bernini has a great location, the proprietor is easy to communicate with, and the beds are comfortable. Stayed in one of the rooms with a private bathroom. The accomodations are not fancy (it's in an older building), but has everything one needs. There is a terrace with tables where you can enjoy the view of the Duomo and the Basilica Cateriniana San Domenico while having a bottle of wine and something to eat.

We liked this quaint small hotel, except for the fact that we had to share a bathroom with other guests. 2 shower/toliet rooms for 10 rooms. Not clear in the booking information. Wonderful views from the terrace. Breakfast was 8 euro extra and didn't look worth the expense.

I had already been told that the views were stunning but, after spending two days taking great photos from all over the city, I could never find views as good as those from this hotel. Vanesa was very helpful. I recommend this place wholeheartedly.

Great location. Beautiful views. Breakfast was good. Very average accommodation - not warm and comfortable. Room and bathroom were extremely basic to the point of being unwelcoming — just fair. Parking was extremely frustrating- contacted host multiple times before visit to get clarification of exact location of parking, then contacted host enroute and confirmed time of arrival and parking location — only to arrive and find out that there was a soccer game going on and NO AVAILABLE PARKING!!! The host should have advised us.

Great location that is easily within walking distances from local parking which helps since you cannot drive into the center of town. The view from our room was special. Small, but very clean room with both private and shared bathrooms. We had a private bath, but the shared set-up seemed like a good option. The rooftop terrace offers amazing views of the town. The staff was very helpful and inviting.

You feel already privileged when you enter the pretty Albergo Bernini building from the crowded street. The hostesses are kind, helpful and make you feel at home. Don’t worry about the bathrooms, some say it is small but I’m almost 2 meters tall and could get around perfectly. And then there’s the terrace. Best place of Siena 👌🏻

Albergo Benini was a fantastic place to stay - we had 16 in our group for 7 days and it was top notch. We're grateful for Eugenia and Vanessa; they both went out of their way to help our experience be all it could be. To have the Palio and other cultural pieces explained by locals was so helpful. We had a number of meals on the patio that overlooked the city - it was just spectacular.

I can only review this Hotel on a double room with private bathroom although the shared bathrooms were incredibly clean. The room we stayed in was a quant classic Italian room with a brand new modern bathroom which was all kept immaculate. The hotel is in the most incredible location, no more than 5mins walk to a main attraction and approximately 5mins to the main bus station which will take you to the station if you don't want to walk 30mins. Although the hotel is within 1min of the main high street it is very quiet in the area, but still feels very safe. The view from the balcony is outstanding, you can view the entire city and some of the Tuscany countryside. Honestly your missing out if you don't witness the view. All the staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. They spent their entire day running round tidying and providing for all guests needs. I can be a harsh critique but I was not disappointed at all by this Hotel, the staff or the city.

This hotel has grown on me a little in the few nights I’ve been here. Room is small with spartan furnishings and the bathroom is laughably small but serviceable (I really don’t spend a lot of time in the bathroom, so not that important). If you travel to be coddled and treated royally, this is not your hotel. If you want to feel like you’ve really left home and come to Italy, welcome to Alberto Bernini. You won’t mistake this place for a Holiday Inn. Breakfast was a bit limited, but I’m not a big breakfast guy, so appreciated the lower price. Breakfast and evenings can be spent on the terrace for a million dollar view. I gave this place 4 stars. Some might give it 5 because of its quaintness and location and views, others might give it 2 or three stars because it is small, old, and not fancy enough. Your pick. After we got here, we found it is a Rick Steve’s pick and perhaps that makes the place a bit pricier for what you get. Some rooms have no bathroom. No Air Conditioning, but at 80 F (27 C) it was nice with window open and nights were cool. Careful if there’s a heat wave when you come. Picture is my wife having breakfast on patio

The hotel is in an old building in the old town (that's a good thing). It's small with only a few rooms some with bathrooms and some with shared bathroom. Rooms are modest but clean, the panoramic roof terrace for breakfast and BYO sunset nibbles is amazing, the staff are really friendly and helpful. It is very authentic and genuine and really adds to the unique Siena experience. We loved our stay here.
