Il Cardino is a very nice bed and breakfast in the heart of Tuscany with a perfect location, at a maximum distance of 1hour drive to the major highlights of this beautiful region. Very nice pool, nice room, beautiful view, nice breakfast en very very friendly staff! Great value for your money.

We choose this agriturismo because it is very well situated to visit Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra, ... Very friendly staff and wonderful swimming pool. Very nice, also for families with greater children (they must be able to swim).

Il Cardino was a great place to relax and also explore the countryside, being close to Volterra and San Gimignano (about 20 minutes drive) and, the hidden gem of Val d'Elsa. The rooms are perfectly fitted out, and the swimming pool area and views are eye catching. However the most important part of this hotel is the friendliness of the...

We stayed in Il Cardino for 10 nights. The view of countryside is beautiful and the place itself very nice. Big swimming pool with more than enough equipment, steadily cleaned in the late evenings. The couple who run it are delightful and very helpful, exactly as Mr. Thomas, who helps them, not forgetting the rest of staff. The room was...

Stayed for one night to explore San Gimingnano. Staff very friendly. We stayed in upper room, might be better to stay at lower level so you could have outside sitting area. Extra 5 euros per day to use the adjoining kitchen area.

This was our favorite place to stay in Italy! If you want to experience Tuscany, this is the way to do it. Antico Borgo il Cardino has a rustic feel and beautiful views of the countryside. We just loved sitting on our private patio taking in the views and sipping wine. The breakfast was delightful, especially the homemade cake every...

Antico Borgo is a quiet and beautiful place but it's strength is the staff. Monica, Lucia and Tomas (forgive me, I forget other names) go the extra mile to make you feel at home and make sure you have everything you need. Tomas speaks perfect English and the others will make a good effort. If you need directions ask Lucia,...

Trip advisor offers a long list of languages to write reviews in, but not romanian. This should change in the future. This charming pension is located in a very peaceful and beautiful area, convenient to reach all major touristic points in the area. By car, Pisa 70 km, Florence 40, Siena 30, San Gimignano 10. Rooms are spotless clean. An...

I researched Trip Advisor long and hard before deciding on Il Cardino as we wanted somewhere close to San Gim, with a pool and aircon in the rooms. We were not disappointed. It is definitely worth going for the Superior rooms (which most of them are) as you get a small patio, we were lucky to get one of the...
