Good and very nice. As good as you may expect from a good Agriturismo (B&B) in Tuscany. Keep in mind that it is not a four star modern business hotel. The property is a countryside rural estate and it consists of two buildings: the main one (Casale del Cotone), and the little dependance across the road (Rocca degli Olivi) both...

I returned just today from a short break at this beautiful Tuscan residence. My husband, daughter and I have fallen in love with this location. It truly is a hidden gem. The property occupies an idyllic, totally tranquil site just a few minutes' drive from San Gimignano. Touring in our own car, we attach great importance to safe parking. This...

My wife and I recently enjoyed a very nice stay at this b&b. The location is great - beautiful views of the rolling hills of Tuscany, and just a 5 minute drive into the heart of San Gimignano. The rooms were very clean, updated and spacious, and the breakfast included was great. The service provided was very good and they...

My husband, niece and I spent two weeks last summer traveling throughout northern Italy. The last part of the trip we concentrated on Tuscany. I had researched the hotel online and had also found a lovely book at the library on small, charming Italian hotels. Alessandro Martelli went out of his way to ensure everything was perfect during our stay....

Date: October 8-10, 2008 Reviewer: a retired attorney from Houston, Texas This small hotel lies on a hillside in that exquisitely beautiful area of Tuscany. Allesandro has taken some of his family's property and made it his own, creating a clean, well tended gem. Together with his pretty wife, who was expecting their first child when we were there, they...

Lovely property that has been beautifully restored. A great base to explore the region. The rooms are lovely and what a treat to open the shutters in the morning and soak up the view. Agree with some other reviews that it would be good if some evenings an evening meal was available but that wouldnt put us off returning here...

We spent a very relaxing week at Il Casale Del Cotone on our first family holiday and we couldn't have asked for more. Having previously only stayed at 5 star resort hotels we weren't sure what to expect but we neednt have worried. Il Casale del Cotone & Rocca degli Olvi is the most fantastic place to get away from it all. Super hosts, fantastic views, lovely pool. Our room was large and exceptionally clean, no air con but large fan also a mini bar with water, wine etc. We have travelled extensively around the world for both business and pleasure and I...
