Calm, nice ambiance, pretty view from the room, although the window was small, thoughtful staff closely watched by the owner who welcomed us. The room was nice, with a beautiful patio outside the building. Shower was awful and breakfast could be better. But overall, it was a good experience. It´s a very short drive from San Gimignano which makes it...

This Hotel is just perfect. Just outside the city walls it awaits you in a nice setting. The old tuscan house is charmful and calm, and offers all you need. Nice, helpful owner & staff, privacy, good breakfast. We would definitely come again!

We recently stayed for 5 nights after our wedding and it was just bliss. The room we stayed in was spacious and clean, the pool and dining areas are very well maintained and we had the pleasure of 2 of Alessandro's amazing dinners which we just loved. It is an easy driving distance from many lovely Tuscan towns; we visited...

Since the year 2000 it has become a rule for us to spend our summer holidays at "Il Casale del Cotone" and so we did again this year. As always we enjoyed our nice and clean room, the relaxing pool-area and the fantastic dinners prepared by the host Alessandro. Trips to Florence and other smaller towns made our stay perfect....

We spent a went at Casale del Cotone and loved every minute of it! Our room was large and clean, with a beautiful view of a vineyard out the window. Breakfast included eggs and sausage/pancetta, fresh fruit, fresh croissants, yogurt, cheeses and meats. Enough variety to choose from everyday. The cappuccino and café Americano is perfectly made and worth sitting...

Having escaped the hectic crowds of Firenze, Alessandro was so welcoming and helpful on arrival. Our rooms was spotlessly clean, air conditioned and the pool is in a wonderful location overlooking the Tuscan hills. To add to that we have just enjoyed the most fantastic meal, cooked by Alesandro himself (a set menu provided to all guests) and great value. Three...

We spent 11 nights at Casale del Cotone and it was a nice relaxing holiday. Nice refreshing pool and poolbar to have an aperitivo. Th setting is enchanting and the nature around the casale is one of the most beatiful of Tuscany. We will come back next year. Thanks Alessandro.

We stayed here for 5 nights in June. We loved the place, tastefully and lovingly restored by Alessandro the owner. It has a real Italian country house feel to it. Plenty of parking space. Alessandro is the perfect host, as well as his lovely assistants. The location very peaceful with lovely views. Our apartment was huge, nice and cool, big...

Alessandro, the owner, prepares dinner, when is is able. We were here for 4 nights and he prepared dinner twice. He is a fabulous cook and is passionate about Italian cuisine. He is very personable and spends time sitting with you, discussing his life in San Gimignano. I highly recommend the dinner, which is great value and of superb quality....
