highs: awesome view, nicely taken care of garden and pool, great breakfast, interesting wine lows: old rooms (e.g. old door lock is very difficult to open & close, worn out furniture), inconsistent service (e.g. wireless internet never worked, charged us 25eur/person for dinner when we specifically asked for wine-tasting at 12eur/person, short time windows for check in and check out)...

thankyou for writing about Torraccia di Chiusi; this group of houses has been here for at least 1000 years and as much as the owners restored it, the place still has the touch of a place lost in time; no, we do not have plastic cards that you put in a magnetic band at the entrance of each room, and...

One of the most breathtaking views so far in Tuscany! Never seen so many shades of green! The hotel itself is charming, we took a standard room and it was just fine - the bed was incredibly comfortable and the view from both windows made the decor! I woke at around 5 and saw a peek of a splendid sunrise...

On our 5 star rating system, they get 6 for the price. From the building & grounds, the rooms with the views & its owners and staff are everything one is looking for to fulfill the Tuscan countryside dream holiday. We stayed in the Eagle’s Nest room (#10). This is a suite type room & very spacious. The room has...

We wanted to visit Tuscany, its beautiful landscapes, its history of art, its food of course. Thanks to Tripadvisor and the positive reviews, we decided to book a week in Torraccia di Chiusi, in the proximity of San Gemignano. With our car we could visit all places around, such as Florence, Sienne and even Pisa. After a long day visiting...

We had the pleasure of spending two nights at Torracia di Chuisi while walking part of the Via Francigena. Our route notes and maps had been dispatched here by courier, but unaccountably failed to be delivered. Perhaps the courier company had similar problems to those expressed by other reviewers regarding taxis. Throughout our stay we had the most amazing help...

We stayed at Torraccia di Chiusi in April 2012. It was a fantastic visit and we had a huge room that had a sitting room as well. Not normal for the European places I have stayed in. Everyone there was really lovely and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The owner and his wife were both...

We drove to this beautiful oasis after a few hectic and hot days in Rome and stayed for three nights in the "Eagle Owl" suite. It could not have been more perfect. This suite allows you ample room to spread out and relax. It has a separate living area with a couch, chair, and small TV. The windows in the...
