I chose this hotel for an overnight stay because it was centrally located and the profile on website I used made it look shabby/chic. It is certainly centrally located. The hotel is not, however, shabby/chic, but merely shabby. It felt very run-down, in need of a substantial makeover. Everything felt in need of replacement- the beds, the linen, the rugs....

On arrival we were appreciative of how close it was to the centre of town. This grand old dame of Pisa still retains her outward appearance but some of her areas are a showing her age. We did not mind this as it adds to the character of the building. We had two stays here returning for the second after...

Our room was nice and the hotel was magnificent, like a museum. Our room was situated next to a side alley so was a lot of noise at night. It was a budget room so we did not mind. Very close to attractions and the train station. The staff were lovely.

The hotel was adequate for our needs, which was an overnight stay in Pisa before flying out the next day. The location is central and for access to the train station and attractions. As said on other reviews there was some noise outside the hotel during our stay, so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

I have come back to Royal Victoria Hotel after more than ten years, since I actually lived in Tuscany for a long time. I remembered its magic atmosphere of the past, its elegant, quiet and welcoming charm. Everything is perfect.

Beautiful old rooms that are very trad. The bed was very comfortable & the breakfast was great. The staff are lovely. The view from the riverside room was wonderful the only down side was that students made a lot of noise at night coming out from a nearby square. Take ear plugs!

This hotel was suitable for what we wanted, which was an overnight stay in a convenient location. It is a short walk from the railway station, and a taxi to the airport (arranged by the staff and arriving in 5 minutes!) cost 13 euros. Be aware, it is a budget location and therefore has an old-fashioned feel to it. The...

This hotel was a pleasant surprise for us. We knew that it was old and in need of TLC but we loved the old charm about it. The staff were very pleasant and the location was perfect. I would definitely stay here again

Just completed a four night stay at this hotel. We loved the easy access from hotel to the train station and Leaning Tower. Also the roof garden was great for a picnic, to catch the sun and evening drink. The hotel has beautiful features like the old floor tiles, attractive windows good breakfast with home made cake and pretty China....

Rooms are relatively spacious but lack even basic maintenance. Toilette seat was broken (yes for real!), hot water didn't even enough pressure so it was simply impractical to have a shower.... and windows were covered by mold! It was simply impossible to sleep because of the noise coming from outside the hotel. Positive sides: there was a pretty good breakfast...
