We stayed in Lucca for 2 nights in July, and really loved our stay in the city. La Colonna was located inside the city walls, and so really close to the main sights in Lucca – including bike rental shops (the highlight of our stay was cycling atop the city walls). It was also only a 10 minute walk to...

This is a small hotel located 800 meters from the main gate to the old city. It has own parking and breakfast is more than enough. very clean and comfortable. Easily accessible and friendly. Limited amount of rooms.

My husband and I stayed at La Colonna for one week from 5th - 12th March. This charming little B & B has just five rooms. It is situated on the ground floor of a building which stands on the former site of a church built in the 1500s. Our en suite room was tastefully furnished with antique furniture. The...

B&B 10 minute walk to town wall and information kiosk. Free parking on street 100 meters from B&B. Room was clean & quite, staff was helpful (adequate English). Breakfast offered variety and was plentiful.

Mirko is the best host anyone could ask for! His genuine passion and love for Lucca is contagious. He gave us great suggestions of things to do and what/where to eat... I swear, without him our trip to Lucca wouldn't have been as fun as it was. The location is central, the B&B is quaint, comfortable and clean. Mirko brings...

We had a lovely stay at this centrally located B & B. The host was very helpful and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. He shared plenty of local information. Our bedroom was beautifully decorated in rich colours with interesting artwork and a comfortable bed. We hope to return here for another longer visit in the...

Mirko gave us a great itinerary to follow while we were in Lucca. Pitza, wine, gelato, attractions, etc. The hotel is located near the center of town so it was easy to get around. The room was small but nice. Our towels were linen sheets. We were somewhat concerned but after using them, we thought they were some of best...

We had planned to stay in Pisa as a central location, and take day trips. Not only where there no rooms, but the TI was no help. We heard that Lucca was lovely, so we brought train tickets, check with the very friendly TI and with his assistance, found laColonna. What a find....comfortable room, wonderful host and great location. Lucca...

After arriving by train, I went as suggested to a small information place on the left as you come out of the station. They provided a map and directions. Passing through the passage in the ancient wall of the city, it was not hard to find La Colonna. Mirko arrived at 3pm as promised. I stayed three nights to start...

We had a great stay in b&b colonna. Mirko was very friendly and helpful at all times. The rooms were are good size with good facilities, including a really nice shower which was tall enough for me (at 6'3" a lot of hotel showers tend to be too short). We would definitely come back!
