I chose the La Torre for a single night stay for my solo trip through Italy this month. My room looked nothing like those in the photos. It was shabby and dirty and it smelled of smoke covered over by perfume. My room had use of two bathrooms down the hall, both of which were in pretty sad shape. Both...

we stayed in Lucca for Summer festival in July, 2012 on 13th to 15th....the family is just great! the moment we saw the room No. 2 we liked it! We were two friends traveling together for concert. The breakfast was amazing! The moment we stepped into room I told my friend (we are from Bosnia and Hercegovina and Croatia) it's...

Spent 2 nights in july with my girlfriend. Owner was very helpful and breakfast-room was kitch and cosy. They have kept prices low, and hotel is still well kept. Bed was a bit old, but we survived. We kept a good souvenir of our stay.

The owner (Marco?) and one of the staff members were really nice, but I was chased from my room rather rudely an hour before the checkout time by an Italian cleaning woman. She claimed later claimed that it was a language problem, but in fact I understand Italian and she was dishonest as well as rude. My room gave on...

We were met walking down the alley way on our way to the B&B by an english speaking gentlemen. He helped bring our bags into the B&B and with our check in process. The clerk did not speak much English, but the man who met us was usually around during any check in times. Our room was not ready yet...

We were in the "annex" to the La Torre B&B, which meant that we were in a two-room apartment directly on the Piazza Anfiteatro, one floor up. The kitchen window looks directly out onto the piazza, with its cafes, restaurants, shops, delivery trucks, tour groups, and tourists. And you can hear almost all of them, crystal clear. That being said,...

La Torre isn't the prettiest, most modern B&B, but like a long friendship, it feels comfortable the moment you step inside. Yes, the rooms could be updated, and sure the bathroom was tiny, but a helpful attitude and smiles from the family made all of that fall down to the bottom of what is important. I enjoyed my stay so...

First impression was awful. The guy (Marco I think) who greeted us was very rude because we were an hour late. We had just traveled on 2 planes and 3 trains so it wasn't easy getting there. But he didn't care, he even told us that he almost gave our room up! That is not something you say to people...

I stayed at La Torre for 4 nights - I had a double room for single use for 35 Euros. The building shows its age and the decor could use some updating, but my room was clean and comfortable, with a giant bed. There were two communal bathrooms right down the hall. Again, the fixtures were a bit old, and...

“B&B Torre have two locations within a 5 min walk. The rooms in Torre 1 at Piazza del Carmine is where you get free wifi in the room and you don't have to walk to get breakfast. The other place (Torre 2 at Via del Columbaia) have better bathrooms with windows.”
