Giulio and Gaia were wonderful hosts on our visit to Lucca. The B&B is on the 2nd floor (piano nobile in Italy) and remains very much as originally built, except that quite nice modern bathrooms have been added to each room. The location is excellent with lovely restaurants, shopping, and sites to see all within easy walking distance. The breakfasts...

This was a wonderful find, La Romea B&B was very clean and neat, rooms are large, food was good. In the middle of the walled city, perfect location! Giulio and Gaia were great hosts, and made us feel like family.

We spent three nights at La Romea - a charming bed & breakfast in the heart of the old walled city of Lucca. Gaia (her names means happy and she always is) and Guillo are such a warm and lovely host/hostess - their small and intermit B&B gives you the true feeling of the old walled city. Breakfast was the...

Our room was spacious and the amenities comfortable. The owners are extremely helpful and friendly. The location is quiet and centrally located near the clock tower. It's a bit hard to find on a side street so get careful directions. Internet access in the room was a welcome bonus.

We had the best time in Lucca, much because of the place we stayed. Delicious clean and spacious rooms, great location, beautiful hosts and the best breakfast! The place is very charming, familyrun with sleepy quiet dog, it's packed with rustique furniture, art and books under a tall ceiling accompanied with the soft tones of Stan Getz....love! The restaurant tips...

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon. Gaia and Guilio were relaxed and friendly, and the B&B is wonderful. It's a great old building in a wonderful location, and has been done up with the perfect combination of heritage, personality, and modern comfort. The bathroom was wonderful -- a shower with pebbles that massage your feet. The room...

What an amazing find! We were only able to stay one night but it was, by far, the nicest room we had during our trip! The owners were charming and helpful caring people. We got a little lost trying to find the place initially but it was worth it! We felt very lucky to have been in the "red" room....

It wasn't just the perfect location right in the middle of the historic city center of beautiful Lucca. Neither was it our nicely decorated and airy room (the yellow one) with the comfy beds and the great shower (rain shower head, foot-massaging stone floor). What made our stay at La Romea so special was the great service by the owners,...

We stayed in La Romeo 3 nights and couldn't have been more pleased. The B&B is upstairs in a 14th century palazzo in a very central, but very quiet location in a small piazza in this beautiful, relatively unspoiled town. Each of the 5 rooms has its own color scheme (ours was the Red Room). The room was very spacious,...
