We stayed at La Romea Bed and Breakfast in Lucca in September, 2016. Almost always fun to stay in an ancient building, but this was one of the best. Owners Gaia and Guilio were wonderful hosts. Our room was spotless, breakfast was great. It was nice to have a comfortable living room to use if we wished. Our room was...

I spent two nights at La Romea on my recent visit to Lucca. It is a fantastic B & B. The room I stayed in was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was also very large by European standards. The breakfasts were fantastic - many items to choose from (eggs, pastries, yogurt, cereal, etc.) all of which were fantastic. Also,...

I had read rave reviews about this place on all travel sites and rick Steve's guide. I'm glad that they were all right. This b and b is right in the middle of the walled town of Lucca very close to the landmark Guinigi tower. The rooms are big and beautiful, that's the best way to describe it. It's a...

This little B & B is a great find. The owners make guests feel welcome, are very helpful, and have great recommendations for restaurants and things to do. One of our best (and inexpensive) meals was a recommendation by the owner. A charming place, with gracious hosts who really care about their B & B, and their City. Fantastic location,...

We stayed in the Junior suite and it was perfect. The location is great for visiting Luca and the many restaurants around. The hosts are lovely and there is a parking just outside if you are driving. We are planning to go back next year to stay longer

We spent six nights at Gaia and Giulio's wonderful B & B at the beginning of October 2016. The B & B is a beautifully restored portion of an ancient palazzo, in the center of Lucca's pedestrian-only centro storico. The location allows one to see both the Guinigi Tower and the Tower of the hours by taking a few steps....

Great owners Giulio and Gaia cater to your every request. Great breakfast buffet. Giulio has great tips for were to go, what to eat, and both were a...

We loved our medieval B&B in Lucca. Charming and helpful host made this the high point of our Italian trip. The breakfast buffet was always delicious. We were able to walk to the venue for three nights of Puccini in the town where he was born...glorious!

I've stayed in this B&B twice now in the past 7 years, and found it to be welcoming and homey (with a gracious host and hostess in the persons of Giulio and Gaia). I love their breakfast ... eggs made to order, cheese and ham, breakfast cakes and fresh (YES, "fresh") fruit --- I went back for thirds! Lovely big...

Enjoyed two nights at this gem of a B&B in city center. The innkeepers, Giulio and Gaia, are adorable and very helpful. Prior to our departure from the US, Giulio helped me plan for our transfer from the Pisa train station to the leaning tower, and finally to La Romea B&B. We were pleased with the service and the price...
