This hotel is in a lovely area, lots of trees. It was just a short walk to restaurants & fairly close to the Boboli Gardens. There was no elevator so just be prepared to lug your heavy suitcases up & down stairs! Rooms get cleaned once a week along with linen and towel changes. On a negative note, we had...

We booked to stay 2 night at the Residence i Colli through Airmiles. We were slightly apprehensive about it since we picked this place as it was the only place we had enough airmiles for, and therefore was the cheapest. But once we got there we were simply amazed at how much we had struck gold!! The location first of...

We booked a room for 4, including our 2 college age kids. When we arrived at Residence I Colli were were pleasantly surprised with a very roomy, well furnished apartment, including a grand piano. Plenty of room for all of us in a villa with a beautiful courtyard. We sat out in the courtyard and enjoyed a bottle of wine...

My husband and I had a comfortable stay here for 3 nights in April. It's in a quiet and leafy residential area and we were given a self contained cottage at the back of the villa. It was well fitted out, big, cosy and clean with everything you need if you felt like making a quick meal if you get...

Turning up you see a beautiful stately home-esque house.. you are then shown to your own little gite.. which was so quaint!! Sorrounded by trees and flowers it really is a relaxing and tranquil place.. being self catered is great you have you own kitchen and there's a supermarket 5/10mins walk down the road (this will actually save you money!!)...

What a pleasure finding a little gem like Residence I Colli. We arrived by car on a Saturday morning a little bit too early for check in. Staff did everything to get our rooms ready for us. In the meantime Carlo - the owner and a film maker gave us a rundown on the history of the place . We...

Although we had booked for 2 nights 3 months in advance we were put into the owner's brother's rooms with his belongings still in place. Cupboards had been hastily taped with masking tape so that we could not access them, the kitchen was filthy with no provision for even boiling water (we used one of the cleanest saucepans) for coffee/tea....

We stayed in Apartment 2 at “ Residence I Colli”, very close to Porta Romana and next to Giardino Boboli. Just a short bus ride ( 3 buses 37, 36 ,11) to the center of Florence (about 4 stops ) or a 15 minute walk to Uffizi. Lovely residential area (so not many bars, but a small supermarket, Tobacco shop...

“How disappointing! I am usually skeptical of what other people write about places, but boy, are they right! I totally agree with the comments regarding cleanliness, musty, etc. after reading the comments about these issues in the cottages, I requested a roomin the main facility after the receptionist told us we would be in the cottage. She explained that she had no rooms available in the main hotel but that she would try and move us if the cottage proved unaccomodating. How on earth were wwe going to do that? We tried to call service that night we arrived from our room to alert the that the drain was running very slow in our tub, but no one picked up the phone. We went down to the office in the morning but the office was closed. Every time we tried to call or went to the office no one was there! Our rom was NEVER serviced! Linens were dirty and the place was dark and musty. We were in Florence for three days on a tight schedule. But I found it very weird that no one was there when you needed them. Trust me, I am not picky, but for management to never be present when you need them is unacceptable in my book. So be prepared for no one to be present when hounded them; be prepared for dirty cottages and no service. Internet never, ever worked and the refrigerator never worked either. Do not recommend this place and will advise our travel agent not to Include this place as a possibility to any one in Texas. So disappointed!”
