My husband and I stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon trip to Italy and France for 4 nights in August 2011. We thought the lobby and room was decorated beautifully with art pieces. The front desk staff was mostly nice though we did have a bad check-in experience. It is located fairly close to the main squares where the...

The architect an interior designer has done a great job. They also spent quite a bit of money for art work, furniture and sanitary equipment. Unfortunately finishings are not the greatest and cleanliness could have been better too. Breakfast : disasterous, we would have done better having it outside. Staff was busy chewing gum rather than bringing coffee and other...

Very nice location, good service also as we were able to reduce our booking (from 3 to 2 nights) with no extra charges Only drawback is the bed mattress we didn't find so comfy.

Our room was large and nicely designed. Bed and pillows could have been more comfortable. Breakfast was good (included) but they always seemed to be out of something and you had to wait for them to restock. Bar was fun (good cocktails) and they gave you a free glass of prosecco upon arrival. The "spa"/gym was disappointed. The steam sauna...

The hotel is right located inthe middle of Florence and perfectly suited for all that travel and like to reach the main attractions within a short walking distance. The hotel only has a few rooms, very stylish and the staff is exceptional friendly. Breakfast is typically italian breakfast. The rooms are big enough and have space to store cloths etc....

The hotel is located in the center so you can walk everything. The room and breakfast are excellent and so was the service of Massimiliano. Even when it was busy he was eager to help you solve a problem, so well done!

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
