My daughter and I spent 3 nights at the Borghese Palace Art Hotel. Situated in an old Florentine Palazzo, it is, as its name indicates, a very arty hotel with some interesting paintings, sculptures and photographs. - Great location, very central, just a few minutes walk from the main attractions, like the beautiful Duomo, the plazza de la Signoria, the...

Fabulous hotel with lovely staff. Our room was perfect (it could do with tea/coffee facilities) and it is so close to a lot of the surrounding attractions. It is on a street so expect a bit of traffic noise and our view was of the building opposite but that was no problem for us. In fact it added to the...

My husband and I have just returned from an 11-day stay at the Borghese Palace. Our first time to Italy...actually to Europe, we were visiting our daughter who is studying abroad this semester. We chose this property for several reasons: it's close proximity to our daughter's home, the star rating, and location convenience to tourist attractions. When you spend 11...

Excellent location, friendly and helpfull staff, style interesting. Only one important issue, too much noise from the street below throughout the night (until 6 am) on Friday and Saturday nights made the visit a nightmare.

Dear Sirs, We are very sorry to read this review. We are pleased to know that you enjoyed a very important aspect such as the service. Unfortunately, as you point out it happened that everything we do is frustrated by a problem of noise in the street, in all the ways we try to control but we do not always...

The location of the hotel is just excellent if you want to visit the historical Florence. When you arrive in the hotel, it looks nice, simultaneously classical and modern. The reception desk is located at the very entrance, so there is somebody to welcome you. When you enter the bedroom, it looks large and nicely decorated, very clean, and it...

Dear Sir, Thank you for posting your feedback and for staying with us. We are sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. Lovely friendly welcome, very knowledgeable staff and so centrally located. An ideal boutique hotel for tourists wanting to be a stones throw from all of Florence's main attractions. Had a great time.

Ten minutes walk from all the main sites so the hotel could not be better situated. Very quiet in the hotel itself. The rooms are modern and the Art displays interesting to look at. The staff is charming and very efficient. Good breakfast too and an excellent restaurant at 2 minutes from the hotel.

I'm really hesitant about my review - my brain now says it is like 5* but when I stayed there it felt a total 1*. Why would it be a 5*? Well, it's located in the centre of Florence, walking distance from everything. The property itself is very impressive, with spacious reception, generous rooms with a nice decor and clean...

Wonderful hotel in florence with a great artistic charm and ambience as associated with the city itself...good sized room and bathroom with the benefit of a small fridge that uk hotels need to wake up to....spa facilities and great , friendly , helpful staff. A beautiful city , a shame only there for three days will definitely be back.

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
