One of the best stays I've ever had away from home. Stefania was very helpful, accommodating and welcoming. The bathroom was well sized, the bed was comfortable and the place is secure. I recommend this place to everyone. My first choice for a place to stay when in Florence.

The room was wonderful, with its' 15th century ceiling fresco. Very comfortable. In spite of the fact that we were told that all rooms were occupied, we thought we were the only guests due to how quiet our room was. A great place to stay in a great location. Staffing was limited but they were great.

A return visit after 2 years - and just as friendly and comfortable. The location is ideal: Casa Rovai is located just a few minutes walk from the Duomo and Basilica Santa Croce, so easy to get anywhere in the old city. But it is also in slightly more of a local neighbourhood so there is a Conad supermarket round...

We had to go low budget as we spent too much on airfare and we were looking for a room the day before we arrived here. The staff is very nice. Location is great. Price is cheep. Room was drabby but quiet and I slept well. Reasonable compromise.

I must say we have been very lucky to find this beautiful house in the middle of Florence. Everything is within 5 minutes walking distance and there is also a parking right near the B&B (Fiesolana Parking). The host was very nice to us, the rooms are wonderful, having the option to choose between old retro rooms and new modern...

As someone else has said, this is the perfect location for a short break in Florence. You step out of your building, walk to the right and can straight away see El Duomo. Our main problem was that this was a whistle stop on a 2 week holiday so we had 3 large suitcases, there was no lift and Casa...

The location is outstanding, minutes away from Duomo in a quiet neighbourhood. The rooms are well equipped, loved the water dispenser in the lobby. The balcony is a blast, during hot nights in Florence its like a quiet getaway. Overall, great deal for a peak time in Florence

This B&B is very good. The room was very clean every day. Also the receipt was nice with a very polite Lady. She gives you good advise of what to do in Florence. The location of it was also good. Near the centre so you can walk every where side you want to. Overall we had a good time there!

The B&B is very centrally located and easy to reach Santa Croce, Gallery and Duomo. It is in an old building on the second floor. We arrived late 10:00 pm and we still had Gracie waiting for us.She helped us carry our luggage upstairs. However there was a lot of confusion as room assigned to us was already occupied and...

Dear guest, thank you for your comment. Indeed you are right when you say that you had to wait a few minutes before the room was assigned since thanks to a last minute booking for a lower category room we have been able us to offer an upgrade to a superior room, larger and with beautiful frescoes, which you are...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
