It's not a hotel, but apartments in a regular building in the historic city center, so no room service, reception, etc. We stayed there for three days. We had a duplex apartment (ground and second floor). On the ground floor: kitchen area equipped with a gas stove, fridge, micro-wave oven, dish-washer, cupboards, cutlery, glassware, etc. Everything looked new and was...

A group of us stayed here in two apartments, which was really handy, as one door separated us making it into one large one. We found the outside of the apartment block was grubby, and the signage was pretty poor and not very welcoming. When we arrived we rang the lady and she arrived a little while after. She didnt...

Location of the apartment is good, 10 min walk to Duomo or Uffizi. Bed was comfortable. We had a few problems though. The AC did not cool at all the first night, so we complained and then the gas in the AC was refilled, after which it worked fine. The flooring is very old and dirty. There was no shower...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.

“Apt 2/3 were on ground floor, no elevator, so if you have reduced mobility these would be most suitable”
