I have used Residence il Giglio several times during the past 5 years for short stays of a few days up to 2 weeks as i was commuting to Florence for work and I strongly recommend it. the flats are very nicely done, well equipped, with a fully equipped kitchenette, the staff is friendly, the neighbourhood is perfect. It is...

We arrived around 2 pm in the afternoon and called the number to let us in the gate . The lady on the other end of the line yelled and then hung up repeatedly. This was the only way to get in so we waited across the street and ate and lounged til then. A lady entered and we ran...

We really enjoyed our two night stay here. Location is excellent,in a great area with everything you could need within a few minutes walk. They also have secure parking which is why we went there as it was extremely difficult to find a hotel with parking. The residence is only a short bus ride into the city and was spacious,clean...

We (two couples) recently spent a week at Il Giglio at the beginning of July. I had purchased a getaway from Interval and we stayed in room #1 - 1 bedroom, a living area with a sofa bed, a kitchenette and a bathroom. Plus we had 2 terraces. Everything was very clean. The buses into the city are easy to...

We stayed in this Hotel to be near the Stadium for a Bruce Springsteen Concert. It was a really pleasant surprise - not really a hotel room rather a small apartment with kitchen facilities and a dining and sitting area which was great for preparing a cup of tea! The staff were so helpful - especially pointing us in the...

My husband and I found Residence il Giglio convenient to the city center via Florence's public transit system, and easy to connect with highways for excursions outside the city. The best part, however, was the neighborhood where it is situated--it feels like home and offers the tourist a more authentic Italian experience. This lacks the old world charm of the...

We loved our stay at Il Giglio, it has everyhting that you need. Good space in a quiet neighborhood. Very clean, reception desk very nice. Buses are easy to figure out so it's nice to be away from the downtown area that has all the traffic and noise(10 min. drive). No irons available and a hard bed are the only...

They are very helpful. The Residence is very close to the Fiorentine Stadium and it is worthwile to go to some soccer game which is 3 blocks...

This place was awesome! Large high-ceiling aparmtent studio with a full and very functional kitchen. The bathroom is small, but the sink is seperated from the toilet and shower by a door which is very practical. The view is not bad... to see a nice view you have to stick your head out the window. The location is AMAZING! On...

We highly recommend this property to anyone interested in being close to Florence's major attractions but far enough away to get a taste of non-tourist Italian culture.
