Second time staying at Soggiorno Antica Torre. Location cannot be beat. We stayed in the Gold Room. It is incredibly large and immaculately clean. I feel the accommodations are starting to show their agely. For instance, a supporting board on the sofa was broken and you couldn't sit on that end without sinking down. Also, the bathroom is huge but... More

Great find in the hub of Florence. You can't get any more central in old section of Florence. The entrance is hidden away between two restaurant's outdoor seating areas right in the middle of Piazza Della Signoria. The rooms are big and well appointed, Run by the owners who are there from 7am to 1pm. We enjoyed talking to the... More

The hospitality is everything you would want: warm, helpful, genuine. The location could not be better. The rooms are lovely. We would have appreciated a large, queen-sized bed rather than two twins put together. The honeymoon package was lovely: a wreath and banner on the door; a table with a bouquet of beautiful flowers, a greeting, sparkling wine, abundance of... More

This is a lovely B&B located right on the Piazza Della Signoria which is very accessible by walking to all the important sites in Florence. Our room (the gold room) was very large, decorated with unique furnishings apropos to Florence, had a lovely view of the Piazza and was very clean. The down side of this location, especially facing the... More

ENORMOUS room (the Gold room), decorated in traditional Tuscan style. Huge closet and very large bathroom. Bed was comfortable but not cushy. I slept well though. One drawback was the water pressure, which was medium-weak and one day, after I showered and washed my very thick, long hair, there was literally no water coming out of the faucet when my... More

What a treat to stay in the beautiful Gold Room at this great "B&B". It was immaculate, comfortable, HUGE and decorated with such unique pieces. It was located in the perfect spot - very central to everything in Florence. The staff was extremely helpful and so kind. We loved being here, and only wish we could have stayed longer. It... More

We stayed at Soggiorno Antica Torre for three nights. First, this is not a hotel, it is a B&B. Someone is at the front desk until 13:00 and then it becomes more like having an apartment in Florence. If you require a full service (along with the outrageous price) of a full service hotel then this is probably not for... More

Fantastic location. Charming traditional location. Excellent value with all major attractions within a short walk and plenty of restaurants and cafes. We didn't have breakfast at the accommodation as we sampled the local cafes.

From the Soggiorno, you can reach walking all main landmarks in Florence. Rooms are very well maintained and the ladies at the reception are very helpful with advice and support. Please notice that the reception works only in day time, so if you arrive out of the working hours, don't forget to have the phone number at hand so that... More

Staying in Uffizi

Neighbourhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
