This is a truly special wonderful place to stay and the hostess graziella is so warm and charming. We stayed in room 44 which I highly recommend. Comfortable large bed and a beautiful white and gold bathroom with a huge bathtub. I felt Luke a princess! I also loved the privacy, it was like having our own apartment. The only...

The hotel was in a great central location, the room was a good size, and clean. Lovely powerful shower as well! Breakfast was fine and a great opportunity to get local info, including great reasonably priced places to eat (often where the locals went) and tickets if needed. Gabriella was lovely, and couldn't do enough to help us during our...

Thanks to the grace of the great hostess Graziella, our first time in Firenze, will not be our last. And we will definitely go back to Panella Residence. She was wonderful, caring, always made sure every step of our experience went well, not only at her bnb, but to the city and surroundings. We had wonderful chats with her between...

Upon our arrival on a Sunday Morning, our GPS got confused and insisted Panella's was not where it really was. I called Graziella the owner and she walked 2 blocks to meet us and guide us to Panella's. Prior to our visit, she was kind enough to book reservations at the museums for us. Unfortunately, an emergency back home required...

My husband and I stayed in Panella's Residence in Florence for three nights recently. We had initially booked a regular double room, but were bumped up to the superior double room by our lovely hostess Graziella as someone else had cancelled - at no extra charge! The room was gorgeous - gigantic, clean, and well appointed. Breakfast was lovely -...

The location is just 5 mins walking to Piazza del Duomo and appx. another 15 mins to the Maria Novella Station. The food is a bit of concern as there is no nearby restaurant , for that i had to stay back at Piazza del Duomo. There were no English Channels to watch though internet was free for sometime.

My husband and I stayed at Panella's Residence for three nights in mid October, having chosen it based on Rick Steve's recommendation on his website. We were incredibly impressed with the hostess, Graziella and the residence itself. Our room, number 42, was very large with a gigantic bathroom and was impeccably clean. Graziella was a wealth of information and no...

I just returned from a week stay at Panella's Residence, the middle of October. Panella's Residence was an excellent choice of B and B due to cleanliness, location, and services provided by Graziella, and represented very good value. I plan to stay again during future visits to Florence. I was upgraded to a large, very clean double bedroom, single occupancy...

We stayed at Panella's Residence in Florence for four nights in early September. Graziella, the owner, is an absolutely delightful woman and her B&B is beautiful. The rooms are very large and beautifully decorated. The breakfast room is located downstairs in the old stables for the convent and is lovely. The B&B is in a great location - easy walking...

We recently stayed at Panella's Residence, Via della Pergola, Florence. Graziella, the owner of this gorgeous 1300s house was just wonderful. Friendly and very helpful even with her limited English. I could quite imagine the house being used as a convent as it was years ago. Our room was both spacious, spotless and comfortable. The breakfast room/kitchen/office situated in the...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
