We stayed here for our honeymoon in September. When we got home we received a fine of 111 Euros from the police for driving on the street in front of the hotel (which is prohibited to drive on) while the car key was with the staff of the hotel. We have been emailing back and forth since September and the...

Good evening Mr Nikolaisen, as explained to you already in 27 e-mail and 7 phone call (no kidding!) YOU have been passing beneath the ZTL camera without any comunication to our staff... not gonna go deeper as you keep ignoring the facts. For any guests it is indeed possible to drive in front of the Hotel but IS A MUST...

In summary, we did not particularly enjoy our stay in this hotel. Let me give you pros and cons. Pros: clean, good location, friendly staff. Cons: Room did not resemble the room we saw the in the photos (much smaller), the bathrooms were quite dated and there was always a ton of water on the floor after a shower, and...

Good evening Mr Alghusain, We are really glad that you appreciate the cleaness of our rooms, the location and the staff. Unfortunately we can't compete against a 5 star Hotel as our Hotel itself cannot provide high-end services but we are more than welcome to help you wenever is possible! We wish you a happy New Year! I stayed at this hotel for one night on a trip to Tuscany. We were greeted by lovely welcoming staff and a glass of wine was an added bonus. Our room was small but very well appointed with a large, sleek bathroom which had been recently renovated. A large shower with lovely soft towels were included. The bed was large...

This hotel is situated a little outside the city centre on a quiet road with no passing traffic on the shores of the Arno river. Not the easiest to find on foot when you don't know the city, but actually not too far from the main rail station - 5 minutes in a taxi at a guess. The main city...

Our stay was so lovely, be it that we stayed twice within a week, but only one night each time. Suite # 1 on the ground floor was our favourite - boutique and romantic. Staff so friendly & attentive and very good with directions to the local area. Scrumptious breakfast served each morning. Relaxing welcome drink served on terrace watching...

We found great difficulty choosing a hotel for our one night stay in Florence on our trip exploring Tuscany with our car. We chose this place as it looked stylish and comfortable but also mainly for its ease of access with a car and the possibility of parking on site. My boyfriend upgraded our room on booking to a suite...

My daughter booked this hotel. We stayed in Florence for 1 night, but this was an outstanding hotel. The location was right near the US embassy; therefore, we felt very safe. The staff was amazing. The breakfast was amazing. The rooms had air conditioning and comfortable beds and pillows. We walked ( or ran) to all the local sites and...

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
