Miriam and Robert run this small hotel, on the upper floor of a large building, just a short walk to the Duomo, that has been in their family for years. Their breakfast is very nice and the rooms pleasant. But what sets it apart is exceptional service. One of our group needed to make a police report--nothing to do with...

Miriam and Robert were very welcoming and happy to share information about Florence. We were welcomed every morning with cappuccino and an incredibly delicious breakfast. The breakfast room was beautiful and we felt very pampered. It was a great way to start our busy days. The rooms were tastefully decorated, comfortable and clean. The room did give me the feeling...

This hotel is centrally located and was perfect for our many tours, restaurants, and museum visits. The hotel is run by a family who could not be any more kind and helpful. Breakfast is included with the room, and it was delicious and good start to our busy days. Our rooms were very comfortable, and we had a view of...

We have stayed at Hotel Europa three times in the last 10 years and have enjoyed each visit very much. Miriam and Robert welcomed us as if we were part of the family and provided excellent advice on local restaurants and help with taxis. The hotel is in a excellent location and the rooms are clean and comfortable. This time...

Up front, what makes this hotel one of the best I have stayed in during our European travels is the staff. Miriam runs the show and Robert is her strong right arm. She s a lovely lady with a passion for great service and customer satisfaction that is rarely exceeded. Her hotel is a small operation on a street about...

What sets Hotel Europa apart from the other hotels in Florence is the wonderful staff, especially Miriam, who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The rooms are basic, but it ticked all the boxes: the bed was firm but comfortable, the air-conditioning kept us cool when the weather turned hot, there was a small fridge in...

We stayed at the Hotel Europa last fall while visiting Florence. We found this establishment very clean, in a great location, and with wonderful, friendly, and helpful staff. The breakfast that comes with the room is served in a spacious dining room and has lots of choices, both hot and cold. This is a family-run business and they made us...

The hotel Europa is very well located, close to the Duomo, Market, and museums and galleries. Enjoyed being able to walk out, but come back for a rest before venturing out again. Located on the second floor, there's a small lift for suitcases and those of us avoiding to many steps. It's the owners, Miriam and Robert that earn the...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
