The location and price (at least in August) can't be beat. So close to the Duomo, the Accademia, the Uffizi, and really, every place you'd want to go on foot. Also less than 10 minutes on foot from the train station, two bike rental shops,...More
I brought my guitar along on this trip so Franco had me play while he sang and danced for the other guests during breakfast. Him and his wife are wonderful! The location is very convenient to everything in Florence and Franco recommended some excellent restaurants.
Franco and his lovely wife made our stay in Florence memorable. His lively, comedic, musical interactions during breakfast will never be forgotten. Their B & B is within walking distance of all the historic sites including Santa Croce where Michaelangelo Galileo, Machiavelli, and DaVinci are...More
We ended our Italy trip in Florence, and, as you can imagine, we were exhausted from all of the travel so we were delighted to see a spacious room waiting for us. Aside from the room being on the top floor and the building not...More
Franco is a very sweet host and exceptionally house proud so this b&b is very clean. It is a little tight and, as other reviewers have said, on 3rd floor with no lift so not great for those with limited mobility. The room was very...More
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city
as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
