The Benivieni palace itself has been built early XVth century by the Girolamo Benivieni’s family that was one of the most important poets of the Reinassance and he had a great influence to the other writers during the Renaissance and afterward. The Benivieni palace hosted there the Synagogue from 1882 until 1964. The palace, now restored and remodeled, is a family owned and run three stars hotel and still retains much of its historical charm.

We are happy that the nearby tourist attractions as well as reasonably priced restaurants are walking distance down the street. Shower was tiny. The staffs working here at this hotel have language issue. Difficult to understand them

We had a family vacation planned in early April 2020. Due to Coronavirus travel warnings and govt quarantines we have decided to delay our trip. There is really no need in visiting, if all tourist sites are closed, not to mention the possible quarantine you may face when returning to the US. Evidently, this hotel is more concerned about protecting its revenue stream than its reputation. It is not interested in its potential customers’ health. They’re adamant about not refunding my money or even providing a credit for future use. Not good customer service! Would not recommend this hotel!

From beginning to end of our week’s stay the staff were friendly, helpful and cheerful. Everywhere in the hotel and café was very clean. The pictures on the website are accurate and helpful. The room was comfortable, quiet and warm in February. Cleaning was prompt and meant the room could be used as a base during the afternoon. We enjoyed breakfast every day and a few lunches. Paying as you go for breakfast makes sense as you can choose from the very reasonable varied menu. There are daily specials at lunch time. It was fun watching the locals who also use the café/bar. Reception called a taxi for us for the airport which arrived in 1 minute! They would have been happy to store our luggage for a later flight.

Literally a block from the Cathedral and duomo. Decent prices, friendly people and perfect area. 10 min walk from train and bus stations. Within 10 mins walk of most sights. My only knocks were that I couldn't control my A/C. I had to ask the desk anytime I needed it changed. Also, I had a room on the street side and it was very loud outside and pretty late. It's a small but busy street loaded with small restaurants. It didn't bother me a ton because I brought earplugs. Other than that it was ok. There is a small restaurant in the hotel as well. No fridge in the room

This hotel is excellently placed to walk to all the attractions and railway stations. Bedroom and bathroom were a good size and clean. We were on the fist floor next to the road. If your a light sleeper bring some ear plugs, road is quite after about 11pm, but there will be foot traffic from the Duomo and the couple of nearby restaurants. Again only an issue if a light sleeper. I would use this hotel again. Don't forget to use Ben's coffee bar.
