Palazzo Ruspoli was a fantastic hotel, I thought. Central location -- we could walk everywhere in no time! Close to restos, the Duomo, open market, great shopping ... and gelato! It took, maybe, 10 minutes to walk from the train station. The hotel itself was just as advertised. As everyone else has noted, yes, there was a nasty stink once...

Stay at this hotel in October of 2004. Very good location as close to most of the attractions of Florence. Room was clean and large with high ceiling. Street noises could be heard at night from the room. Bathroom was very old however. Staff was very friendly. Overall, it was a nice place to stay for the price. No smell...

I thought this hotel was fantastic. The room was clean and exactly as promised, the view of the Duomo was outstanding, the desk staff were helpful, and the location was perfect - right in the middle of Florence! I would stay here again and recommend it to all my friends. The hotel has some tradeoffs which I was willing to...

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in March 2005 - fantastic location - we could see the Duomo from our window and everything was on our doorstep. Very clean hotel. Only problem - ensure you get a room at the back! Our room overlooked a bus stop & bar across the road - at night it got very noisy....

We stayed at Palazzo Ruspoli for three nights last month, May 2004. We booked through the internet after viewing photos of the hotel rooms. We were very disappointed as our room looked nothing like the photos, nor did the hallway. Upon arrival, the entrance of the hotel had a offensive odor that did not disappear during our stay. Held our...

This hotel is in a great location right by the Duomo and in walking distance of all the other sights of Florence. The hotel staff were very friendly, efficient and informative, the rooms were very spacious and comfortable and the breakfast set us up for the day ahead. It can be a bit noisy but after walking round Florence all...

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in late September. The hotel has an excellent location, just a half block from the Doumo, and central to all the major Florence sites. Our room was nice size, nicely decorated. If travelling in the summer, be sure to ask for air-conditioning, otherwise the traffic noise from an open window is...
