We booked 6 nights at this hotel. We had the Gallery room, which I think is one of the smaller rooms with a side view of the Cathedral dome. The room was beautifully appointed with wall and ceiling frescos, and antique furniture. The bathroom was built within the room so as not to spoil the plasterwork and had a rainfall...

We had a wonderful two night stay. We were given an unexpected upgrade at check in. The hotel is very quiet and in a perfect location. Breakfast was very good and the dinner recommendations were perfect.

The Palazzo Niccolini was wonderful, beautiful large room with a view of the dome of the Duomo and with the window open the sound of the street musicians was beautiful. The staff was outstanding. Breakfast service was amazing, after the first day we were just asked to confirm we wanted the same thing, she remembered. Breakfast room is lovely and...

We stayed 7 nights at this beautiful 15th century Palazzo. Impeccably kept, clean, well appointed. We stayed in one of the apartments with a large bedroom (with a very comfortable bed) and a large sitting room that served us well. It was quiet, overlooking a courtyard. Daily service, turndown, very helpful concierge, delicious breakfast. You're right at the Duomo, on...

The Palazzo Niccolini al Duomo is everything that other reviewers says it is. Historic, beautiful, phenomenal location, nice staff, very good breakfast, and literally next door to the Duomo. My family of 5 had two rooms for three nights – my three teenage sons were in the “Blue suite”, and my wife and I were in the Dome suite. The...

Dear Mr. Youssef, thank you for your kind review and compliments. Please allow me to answer you on the “quibbles” you mentioned: It is true that the first night your boys’ beds were not divided but I went and searched for your request for separate beds and I could not find it. If there isn’t a specific request for twin...

We stayed here for one night as part of our honeymoon in March 2017. We had already booked a great room but got a free upgrade to the breathtaking Royal Suite. it took our breath away - original frescos, sitting room, lovely bathroom. The Duomo is right outside the window but peace abounds. The owner Ginerva greeted us personally and...

Palazzo Niccolini truly is a palace! And guests are treated like royalty. The staff is outstanding.... attentive, helpful, and friendly. The breakfast is amazing. More delicious food than one could possibly consume. The icing on the cake is that you can practically reach out and touch the Duomo from your window. So close to the action, but very quiet and...

We stayed at Palazzo Niccolini for a week in February and were blessed with lovely weather. The Hotel is an historic Palazzo right in the centre. Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
