We brought our 9 month old son on a trip to Italy with us. We started out in Rome in an older, traditional hotel. While it was nice it wasn't the best place for a crawling little boy. We then showed up to Hotel Globus for 5 nights and WOW, what a difference. First off the staff was WONDERFUL! They...

Our 3 days stay en Florence couldn't have been better. The hotel is near everything you want to visit, 3 minutes walk from Santa Maris Novella Station and Duomo and walking distance from everything you' ll like to see in Flotence. Staff were always willing to help and answer our doubts and were very king. Breakfast is delicious with great...

Good location, fair price, and modern rooms. We had good experience with all the hotel staff except for Roberta who is still in training I believe and needs to work on her customer service and courtesy skills. I would like to commend Nic at the front desk for giving us some good suggestions on what to do around Florence. We...

I went to Globus, was met with a smile and a wonderful, helpful attitude. The young man immediately gave me a walking map to the highlights and directions which was so helpful. In the afternoon, the lady,Roberta, could not have been more helpful-she took some time out her day to talk about Italy and Florence with me,which was the highlight of my visit-listening from a local...

This lovely, clean hotel is just minutes away from the train station and the public market - Mercato Centrale The only downfall is the noise on the street just outside our window. We now know that Florentines love to party late at night and the market vendors roll their carts down the street early early to set up before all...

I chose this hotel because it was reasonably priced for central Florence and it looked modern and stylish, not words you would use to describe most of the internal décor of hotels in the same bracket in Florence. I've dropped it down to 4 stars as the rooms are very small but apart from that you can't fault this modern...

We can't say enough good things about globus hotel. After traveling for over a week our air bnb lodgings fell through and we had to quickly find a place to stay. The staff at globus were very understanding and helpful. They had openings and showed us the room before we committed we felt very taken care of. Then we stayed...

My priority when looking for a hotel is always location. If you are also someone who likes being in the action and able to walk to most major attractions, this hotel is the right one for you. It’s pretty much on the same street as the leather market, steps away from restaurants and shops and less than one block away...

The hotel is conveniently located about 5 mins walk from SMN Train Station and just a few steps away from Florence's Leather Market/other tourist attractions. Whilst the rooms are pretty small (most European hotels are anyway), it is very clean and decorated with a nice, modern touch. Breakfast was great (M&M's!!)

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Globus was completely renovated in June 2016. The new reception area, located on the street level of Via Sant'Antonino, is now connected to all rooms thanks to our new elevator. The new breakfast area overlooks a small courtyard with a nice vertical garden. Our staff is a mixture of all ages, languages, cultures and countries, always smiling and willing to offer you tips on places to visit, restaurants to try. They're always there for you. For what regards our location, it is definitely one of the key features of Globus. The proximity to all the Santa Maria Novella train station and all main attractions, including the Duomo, both major museums (Uffizi and Accademia Galleries) or Ponte Vecchio, among others, makes it very easy to plan even the busiest day without the need to lose time getting from the hotel to your desired location. What makes our neighbourhood special though is definitely the Mercato Centrale, located just around the corner from here. In the morning, that is where you want to go if you're planning to buy some food to take back home, or simply want to try the famous Tuscan specialties, "trippa" and "lampredotto". Where this place shines though is the 1st floor, open from 10am until midnight. It's a big, modern open space with many restaurants, serving a variety of really delicious food. Make sure to check it out! ... more   less
