The Relais Cavalcanti is located in the heart of Florence. You are within steps of the Straw Market, Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery, and the Duomo. Francesca was the most welcoming b&b host we have ever experienced. She outlined detailed recommendations for restaurants, shops, groceries, and attractions on a map of Florence and provided tourist tips for everything in Florence....

Relais Cavalcanti is in the perfect location in Florence. It was a short and fairly easy walk from the train station as well as a couple minutes' walk to nearly all the major sites. My husband and I appreciated the flexibility to stop by the room quickly in the middle of the day, if need be. We also loved walking...

I finally chose this property because of the location and we were not disappointed. There are some minor issues, steps, small lift, 5 keys, attendant only present for a few hours per day. We knew all these things up front and none presented a problem. The staff was very helpful. The rooms were spacious. The water in the shower was...

The location is exemplary - a few minutes walk from the Uffizi & Ponte Vecchio. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. They showed us the best shops, cafes and restaurants. Our room was nice & clean - comfy, firm bed and a very nicely decorated bathroom with roomy shower (no bath). It is near a pub and restaurant...

This little place was my choice after reading TripAdvisor reviews. A friend & I stayed from 27 April to 2 May 2008 and weren't disappointed. Junko, who was there to greet us on check-in, gave us each a map of the city with everything we needed to know marked or highlighted by hand, no less. Francesca (one of the owners)...

We recently enjoyed a stay at Relais Cavalcanti. High marks on everything from pre-arrival communications with the hotel, to the rooms and friendliness of staff. I had some concerns about noise because of Cavalcanti's central location but new soundproof windows completely eliminate the hum of the city. Rooms are clean and simple but with personality. Views from our room were...

We stayed just for three nights and it was great! The house itself is absolutely lovely with antiques and a nice relaxing atmosphere. Our room was amazing, full of interesting furnishings which actually gave me some ideas how to decorate my house back home. It was of reasonable size in relation to European hotel rooms. The washroom was impeccably clean,...

I heard about Relais Cavalcanti from a friend who is a native of Florence, and my stay was absolutely wonderful, the best of my 4 trips to this great city. I got in from the States over an hour before normal check in, but Anna made sure my room was ready within 5 minutes of my arrival. She could not...

I was looking for somewhere in central Florence that could cater for a party of 7 on a budget, and I found a gem in Relais Cavalcanti! From the moment I sent my first email requiring about availability, Anna and Francesca were really helpful. They sent me all the information about what they offered and the website itself has plenty...

We cheated by booking there after three sets of friends stayed there at various times during the last 3 years. After listening to them we knew this would be our choice as well. We enjoyed a great location - easily within walkiing distance of major attractions e.g., Uffrizi. Galleria de Accademia, Duomo, Ponte Vecchio. Our room was quite roomy (with...

Staying in Uffizi

Neighbourhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
