This is a really good hotel. Easy walking distance to ALL the attractions of Firenze. The room was modern, bright and impeccably clean. The wifi signal is consistent and fast. The breakfast was fresh and varied. The staff at this hotel are second to none. They are always friendly, professional and ready to help. My wife and I have stayed in...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 5 January 2017 via mobile

Great Hotel in the heart of Florence - walk to everything. Louise and Laura were very friendly and loved sharing their knowledge of the Florence and beyond. Breakfast was included and was perfect - they even have the lovely Anna who makes great coffee for you each morning. We had two rooms - 3 teens, each room set up as...

Hotel Perseo is in the best possible location, just moments from the Duomo. We found the rooms to be lovely and the staff incredibly helpful - whether it was making reservations or recommendations, they really went the extra mile. Would definitely stay again.

Location is great. Rooms need upgrading - old furniture and decor. Bathroom need to be replaced - damaged tiling and old overall. Beds are in a horrible state and need to be changed. Breakfast is not vast at all - more options need to be introduced.

Dear Sara I am really sorry to read your review. Particularly as your parents left thanking us for a lovely stay and saying "see you next time" !! Our hotel is in an ideal location, we offer a continental breakfast not an international breakfast which is generally appreciated by everyone. I think you will find your parents bed was very...

Room - Super clean and quiet! Windows in our triple beds room were facing backyard - Cable TV signal is not stable, 30% of channel are not broadcasting (which is fine anyway) - Only 2 power jacks (you might consider bringing an extension-converters with you), one converter was generously provided (at no charge) by the owners. You might buy a...

You could not ask for a better location: less than 10-minute walk to the train station, literally steps from the Baptistery. Florence is a small city anyway, and the location of Hotel Perseo puts you within a 10-minute walk of anything in the city. The entrance to the hotel is on the 3rd floor; there is a small-ish elevator. Rooms...

My daughter and I stayed here for four nights after Christmas. The location of the hotel was excellent, within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. Laura helped us with reservations to the Uffizi and the Accademia. Our room was warm and quite clean. The breakfast was more than adequate and the staff quite hospitable. I will recommend the...

Not the place you should stay if you're looking for room service and luxury accommodations. But if you're looking for a clean, comfortable hotel, with wonderful staff and a location that would be very, very hard to beat, this is a great place. I loved my stay here.

Visited Florence for my birthday, and cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! The staff were very friendly and always prepared to help out where necessary. The location was ideal for travelling to the Duomo and the historic centre of Florence, and easy to reach from the train station (if travelling by train, bus or on the shuttle from the airport)....

Location, location and location. As Florence is a walking city, it is nice to stay within a stone's throw from most of the major attractions in Florence. The rooms are slightly small and outdated. The tiled floor made it uncomfortable to walk around the room, especially in winter. No in-room slippers were provided.

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
