This hotel is directly across from the Duomo, there is no better view from a hotel in this city! You can walk to everything you would want to see from this hotel. The rooms were clean but very small. The staff was friendly. It was very helpful to have them make suggestions for dinner and make us reservations too!

The hotel is in the best central location, perfect for shopping and exploring the sights of Florence. The staff delivered a lovely welcoming and friendly service. The rooms were a good size, clean and simply but nicely decorated.

The best parts of our stay at Hotel Duomo were Francesca and an incredible woman (whose name we are very sorry we can not remember) who assisted with breakfast. Both were kind and helpful and a credit to the hotel. We had a view of the beautiful Brunelleschi Dome. The hotel is centrally located and walking distance to many sights....

Dear Matilda, we thank you for your kind review and we are happy that you find a professional and family staff in my Hotel. But i don't understand your comments: You find a pleasant staff that is really important for us, you had a room with the amazing view of Brunelleschi's Dome unique in the world with no others Hotels,...

I stayed at Duomo hotel twice- 10 years ago, and now in February. I am glad that quality of the service didn't change at all. In short...perfect location, close to all major sites of the city. Staff is great, disposable at every moment. Very clean. Breakfast is very good and tasty, a lot of varieties of food. Only "problem" that...

Because we went offseason, the room was relatively cheap, and, boy, was it a great choice. We asked for a room with a view, and they gave us an upgraded private balcony with a stunning view of Brunelleschi's Dome. Breakfast was included (and wonderful), and the room was clean, tidy, and comfy. The service was also quite friendly. They kept...

The hotel itself is average. Some of the outlets didn't work with our adapters (one outlet kept popping our adapter out while another didn't even provide a charge). The room was nice and clean the bathroom was clean and more spacious than our hotel in Venice. The shower didn't drain properly the first two days we stayed and was finally...

Outstanding spot. Location is central to everything. Good restaurants in area. We walked everywhere, even to and from train station. The view of The Duomo from our room. Surreal! Highly recommend. Accommodating staff. Good breakfast too!

Unless you are using rucksacks suggest you don't walk here as it is a hassle. Take a taxi. Hotel is in s great location staff very friendly and wonderful elevator! Wifi is good. Needs better electrics for the international visitors. Would prefer a shower and forget the bath as most people would. Over all pretty ok

Checked in yesterday, so far great! What an amazing, close up view of the Duomo! Wow! It's truly breathtaking. The staff has been very courteous and friendly. The room is very clean and perfect for a couple. The windows open up to get some fresh air. There are no screens, so a mosquito managed to sting me last night. Other...

This is a lovely local hotel right in the heart of the city and close to all the tourist sights. There was the biggest choice of food for breakfast I've ever seen & everything I tried was delicious. My room was small with very little storage space for clothes but it was clean, had a nice shower room attached and...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
