After arriving at the train station we found this B&B a little difficult to find (there are two street numbering systems in Florence which makes it confusing). We had a lovely welcome from Thomas on arrival who gave a thorough briefing on the sights and...More
This is a B&B which is a huge 2 level appartment with courtyard in a big building.
The rooms are large, comfortable, although no AC. Surprisingly the windows facing the busy and noisy street absorb most of the noise. There was a private bathroom which...More
We had a disaster of a journey to Florence with our flight being delayed an hour at a time for 24 hours. I emailed Roberta, and she kindly stayed up late and waited for us, and kept our room the next day. As this is...More
What has happened to this place? It is, unfortunately, a mere shadow of the B&B we stayed at two years ago. Now it is just another sad, ramshackle enterprise with dribbling shower and poor breakfast. Would not recommend.
My friend and I stayed here Oct 2014. The staff was very warm and friendly and the room and bathroom very clean. The bathroom is not en-suite but it was not an issue whatsover. The breakfast was delightful and the location perfect! I highly recommend!!

Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The
area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
