We had a wonderful stay at this B&B. The location is the best and I didn't have any noise problems. I am a light sleeper and brought a white noise machine. The only problems I had were the fact that they allowed a very young infant to stay in the next room. The rooms are very close and had I...

This is a lovely B & B located right in the heart of the old town, but on a quieter side street. It was easy to walk to everything. The room was lovely and well-appointed. Rosanna was delightful and so helpful (there was also a young man there in the morning and he was also terrific -- I am embarrassed...

We got off to rough start here. I had sent an e-mail several days before requesting help with dinner reservations. However, when we arrived the young lady who checked us in could not find the e-mail or Dei Mori never received it. Anyway, we adapted and found several other good restaurants with the list they gave us and some additional...

I cannot rave enough about Dei Mori. Not only is the location perfect, but the room was big and comfortable, clean, and the facilities super cute. It added to the Italian experience to be staying at such a place, which fit in to the overall city landscape and feel. I was thrilled to have found this place for such a...

This is a lovely B & B well appointed to sites in Florence - staff very hospitable and Francesca (lovely Romanian girl) was just a delight and concerned with our comfort level. Breakfast very nice sitting on the patio - small patio area - but lovely. Rooms spotless thanks to Francesca.

There are lots of reasons to stay here while in Florence, Italy. The location is very central in the heart of this historic city and yet it is quite quiet. The rooms are good. The place has lots of charm. The host is helpful and provides a good breakfast. There are lots of steps to climb!

Our family of 4 stayed in 2 standard rooms and chose Dei Mori because of the location, which is only a short walk to Uffizi Gallery, Accademia Gallery and Duomo di Firenze. It was so handy to just step out of the door and be in the middle of the shops, the restaurants, the piazzas and the main tourist sites....

This B & B is quite charming. The sitting room has comfy loveseats, classical music, a small lanai, tons of tour and history books, and a single serve coffee/tea maker. As there are only 6 rooms, and only the sitting room has reliable wifi, it is a congenial gathering spot. There's also a small frig with sodas and wine on...

Dei Mori B&B was a good choice for my wife and I while touring France and Italy in 2013. The location was stunning, you really can't find any other place to stay in the heart of old town Florence for the price that we paid. Danny was a very gracious host, extremely helpful, he sat down with us after our...

My husband and I stayed here in May of 2015. Unfortunately our stay did not start out the best as we had to wait 45 min for someone to show up and let us in. With that said, once we were in and settled, our hostess greeted us with complimentary prosecco as well as several great restaurant/gelato recommendations. The location...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.

Castel San Niccolo, Italy

Was she talking about Danny at The DeiMori ???!!

“Not welcoming if client not to owner standards!”

Please be aware that this B&B is on the 2nd floor (as in Europe this is actually 3rd floor, with 47 winding stairs and NO elevator!)

Our group was combo midlife/young adults, carrying suitcases made for 3 weeks in Europe.

We arrived later than usual so had a quick talk done by owner at the 'kitchen' table. Informative, yes. Condescending, also yes. One of our group had been to Firenza before so we had a plan in mind. Our plan was essentially poo-pooed.

His recommendation for pizza dinner was mediocre at best. The only place we liked that he told us of was a gelato place nearby B&B.

He actually said that 4€ did not make or break him so to take his suggestions or not, it did not matter. We did not mention that he recommended us to the pizzaria.

Bed mattresses are wool/cotton sides, thin with slats of wood as box spring. Very uncomfortable. Owner stated they were of high quality, not by our standards.

Breakfast of coffee, microwave croissants, yogurt, bread (for toast) & juice were fine. Told that's a typical Italian breakfast, although our first Italian stop made us eggs, meat & crepes as well.

Only common room space is small living room (4 can sit) then outside a long narrow balcony where 4 more can sit (right beside scaffolding for next door renos. We moved indoors one morning as a wheelbarrow of concrete was hoisted from the street up passed us.)

Wifi only works in common room or nearest bedroom. If you are down the hall, forget it!

Good location in middle of old town...this is only good feature of this B&B.

Would not recommend.
