I stayed at the San Giorgio for three nights in July. My biggest complaint was the air conditioning. The lobby was the only cool place in the hotel. Our room was warm to hot the entire time, even with the a/c going full blast. That said, the location is wonderful, right in the middle of everything. Rooms were not large,...

We stayed here in November 2007. Of all the hotels we stayed at in October and November 2007, this was by far the most spacious, clean by our standards and the location of everything was fantastic ! Unfortunately, I was unable to choose '2007' in the options available for this review - but I really wanted to add our review...

We liked the hotel , even though the rooms were pretty small ( double bed deluxe room ). It is 5 mins walk from florence santa maria novella station. everything is nearby , even Mcdonalds. All the hop on buses are available near the hotel until 11 pm. Staff is very helpful and kind. Breakfast is Ok not much variety....

The San Giorgio in Florence has a great location close the to main station and close to the inner city. It is an ideal place to explore the city from. WiFi is free in the lounge room at the entrance and the service is okay. But unfortunately, these are the only positive things to say about this hotel. Their website...

I worked with several employees of the hotel, in particular Olivier, who helped plan accomodations beginning 5 months in advance. wedding planning is confusing and tiring in and of itself but they offered us good prices, comfortable accomodations and flexible arrivals/departure dates and last minute changes...our group was about 25 people!!!

This hotel's location is fab..Near everything..a walk across the street to the train, bus station and bus stops..A quick walk to the Duomo, Mercado Centrale and shopping. It was clean, staff helpful, economical and breakfast very adequate. Planning a return Florence visit next year and will definitely stay here.

We stayed here two years ago and had no hesitation coming back. The staff were welcoming and helpful; the room suitable for a 3 star hotel and although breakfast was busy the food and service were perfectly adequate. Every dish was refilled regularly. It's important to be patient. The location of this hotel is convenient to trains and buses and...

My wife and I visited Florence and stayed at the San Giorgio & Olimpic for 3 days. We took the Terravision bus from Pisa (you should pre-book to avoid the scrum to get on the bus!) and arrived in Florence 80 minutes later. The San Giorgio is a 5 minute walk from the Santa Maria Novella Train Station (where the...

If you think to visit Florence think twice which hotel you want to choose. I have visited Florence by the end of February in a vacation, and stayed only 4 days. I've experienced the lowest temperature inside of a hotel. It is a glace hotel with only a ventilation system, not worming system. It is very well located, quiet, but...

We stayed for a week in this hotel and, although fairly basic, it represented great value for money. Our room was large, quiet, clean and comfortably furnished. The bathroom was spacious, very clean with bath (shower over), large handbowl, loo and bidet. Lots of hot water and fresh towels, toiletries and loo rolls were provided daily. The buffet breakfast was...
