If you look for a wonderful place to stay in Florence, have no doubt that La Residenza Hotel is one of the best choices available. Yet be careful with the room you will stay. As the majority of italian buildings, the elevator has a pantographic door which only reaches the third floor. So if your room is on the fourth...

Staying at Hotel La Residenza was amazing experience. Riccardo was such a huge help leading up to the days of our arrival( there were 10 of us staying at the hotel for my pre-wedding). The hotel is situated in the best location, the upstairs deck takes you away from the city, the rooms are spacious, and Riccardo is a fantastic...

Very rude staff, particularly one named Bamba who screamed and scolded us for getting lost to the hotel and got there late one night and had to wake him up. He kept yelling and was upset that his sleep was disturbed. We were only 1 hour late. No concern that guests got lost. The owner also refused to help or...

The hotel is located in a 15-century building in the most posh street in the city: via Tornabuoni. Suffice it to say that on the ground floor of the same building there were Giorgio Armani and Fendi boutiques. The first Gucci flagship boutique is some 50 metres away!) The hotel is old but decent. It has a lift of the...

Adequate clean hotel. Could have done with an easy chair in room to relax. Also a kettle with tea making facilities. Breakfast was cold no hot food but plenty food on offer. Don't arrive in the middle of the night there is no-one around. Our flight was delayed but we managed. Staff friendly and helpful. There is a lift but...

This hotel is in need of renovation and updating. The doors and walls were scratched and scuffed. The air conditioning was not working!!! Floor tiles were loose. The breakfast is very weak. We left after one night as soon as we could arrange another hotel. I would not stay here again. It is in a good location within a 5-10...

La Residenza is a wonderful house in an amazing location. It truly would be a gem if there wasn't the outdated stained carpets, a not very well working air conditioning, lack of wall power receptacles and the worst: black mold (muffa nera) in all the bathrooms we checked. Black mold is an extremely serious health hazard and should be removed...

This hotel is fab our room was lovely and very comfy. The roof terrace was an added bonus was so lovely to sit out there in evening and listen to the performers in the nearby square. Breakfast was a varied spread and perfect for our needs. Ricardo was an excellent host who recommended great restaurants and places for evening drinks!...

My friends and I booked 2 triple-sharing rooms. One room was near the reception and had what looks like a queen size bed and a single bed that was pulled down from a closet. The room and bathroom were spacious. The room I stayed in was not accessible by elevator. The vintage elevator can only go up to the 4th...

This was our second stay at La Residenza. This hotel is located in a historic building with a beautiful exposed cage type lift. It's on a quiet street in the heart of the fashion district and is within easy walking distance of everything. The staff is very helpful, a good breakfast of sliced cheeses and meats, cereal, fruit etc is...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
