Everyone has told you so you should have it figured out- the tower/rooftop bar is fantastic, and Chris is a wonderful part of that, she is so very pleasant to talk with, even if you did not take her wine tour. The rooms are full of character and well maintained. Breakfast was fine. The location is excellent, a very short...

Ciao to Vancouver! Wow grazie! Thanks for your great review, and yes I'm a chatter box (known for it) and even if people do not a wine tour with me, I still can tell you stuff about wine (if I have time). I'm sorry for the troubles during your first night, but glad the front desk staff could change your...

This place was connected to a tower that has the most spectacular view of Florence. After climbing 70 steps you are on top of the city. Very beautiful place.

My husband and I stayed at The Hotel Torre Guelfa in December and it was EVERYTHING we had hoped for! The hotel makes you feel like you are a princess staying in a private castle (guys, definitely take your wives/girlfriends here!). The best part of the hotel is the romantic rooftop terrace that you can walk up to to spend...

We recently stayed 5 nights here during our 3 week visit to Italy and have already recommended it to a number of friends planning to visit later in the year. The location was excellent, very close to the Ponte Vecchio and within easy walking distance of most of Florence's main attractions. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Nicco on...

I stayed here for 3 nights in March (2012) and can't say enough good things about it. First, the location was amazing- short walk to everything, one block from the Arno. The building is a lovely historic villa with a great tower on top. The views after dark are breathtaking. The rooms are comfortable (typical European), bathrooms are modern and...

You cannot beat the location close to Ponte Vecchio. The tower view is outstanding! The people, especially Luigi, are extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast is basically a continental breakfast but is good. Common sitting areas are nice.

We just got back from an 8 day trip to Florence and Venice. The Hotel Torre Guelfa was great! We booked the room with the private terrace and loved having the private, QUIET space away from the multitude of tourists. The weather for the most part was very nice and the outdoor space was greatly appreciated after days of sightseeing....

The Torre Guelfa is full of history and its tower and rooftop terrace is amazing. I enjoyed my one night stay and found the staff to be very friendly. Staying in Uffizi

Neighbourhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
