We stayed at Torre Guelfa for two nights, and felt very lucky with the location. The room was comfortable and the front desk staff helpful. Not the best breakfast we had on our trip though, it must be said. The variety was fairly limited. Highlights were the lift (we were so glad not to have to haul heavy bags up...

We stayed 2 nights in room 315 (the terrace room). The history of the hotel and the value made this a fantastic stay for us. It was 1 of 9 hotels we stayed while on a trip through Italy for our anniversary. They are helpful and attentive, and did have a great recommendation for dinner, which was Parione (very expensive...

We couldn't have picked a better hotel for our family and friends to stay at the week of our wedding. This is a charming, beautiful, family run hotel. I can't say enough about the entire staff. From the breakfast servers to the front desk, Barbara, and Niccolò, they all went above and beyond to accommodate my husband and I as...

We spent two nights here and loved this hotel. We stayed in room #108 which was quite large and quiet during the night. The Wifi worked great inside the room and the breakfast buffet was good (with yogurt, eggs, fruit, croissants, juice). The ancient tower was a highlight...we walked up the many stairs and had a drink on the rooftop...

I don't usually remark on the staff but the front desk staff and those serving breakfast were so helpful and accommodating - felt like 5 star service in a three star small hotel. The hotel is very old and historic but rooms very clean and beds comfortable enough ( we found all beds in Italy to be stiffer than we...

We stayed at 4 different hotels in Italy and this one took the price in every single aspect. Location is outstanding at just 2 block from Ponte Vecchio but on a sideways alleyway away from the crowd and noise. The staff is amazing: extremely helpful, fun and knowledgable. The room was great combining the old and the new (we had...

Great location with fantastic views... Tricky to find by car so avoid driving ( there is parking at 26e/night) room was fine, although bathroom very small ( if you're of the larger size you may struggle in the shower)...would recommend and go again

My husband had been recommended the tower bar as a surprise destination for an afternoon drink on our recent visit to Florence, as part of our 30th wedding anniversary celebrations. We were not staying at this wonderful medieval building, so in fact I am not sure if we were entitled to be there, but hotel management were quite happy to...

I really like historic hotels and this is one that has an exceptional location and was comfortable and at a great price. I had been to Florence before so dedicated only two nights and one full day but I had to make good use of that day so my family could see the highlights of Florence. This hotel fit the...

We stayed here 4 nights during a recent trip to Italy. The location was excellent and close to all the major sights. The breakfast was the best in all our hotels in Italy (14 day trip). The staff were professional and very helpful with all questions. English was not a problem. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The only drawback...

Staying in Uffizi

Neighbourhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
